I don’t know what is in the air, but there have been more exciting bag launches this summer than in the entire year I’ve been writing this column. From the launch of new accessories brand Kiki to the release of the Alex Mill x Big Night collaboration and ALOHAS’ first bag drop, June was already a great month for bag design. But the announcement of Cordera’s stunning Pre-Fall 26 Beaded Bag Collection this week sealed the deal: it’s officially a Little Bag Summer.
Now, to be clear: a “Little Bag” can be anything from a capacious tote to a teeny clutch. Little Bag Summer isn’t just about mini-baguettes and micro crossbodies. It’s about finding a bag so beautiful you want to treasure it forever and use it every day. Like a summer fling, a Little Bag Summer can feel like a whirlwind – suddenly you have a new partner to bring everywhere with you, a go-to accessory that functions as an outfit-elevating statement piece and an emotional safety blanket. Dressing for summer heatwaves means wearing as little as possible, making the correct Little Bag the saving grace of any outfit. And the joy of watching a friend light up when you ask her about her new gorgeous Little Bag is almost as good as finding one of your own.
Once the heatwaves stop rolling through and we start layering up for fall, odds are we’ll leave Little Bag Summer behind. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts.
While we treasure our Little Bags, here are this week’s best product launches:

First Up: Cordera’s Covetable Beaded Bag Launch

CORDERA launched a stunning Pre-Fall 2026 Bag Collection this week. The handmade beaded bags feature floral motifs and a wide variety of sizes and silhouettes, including a whimsical bottle-shaped design. The unique, beaded pieces are the result of a collaboration between CORDERA and a women's community in Central America. I don’t know if I’ve ever coveted a bag more than their Handmade Beaded Tote.

The haircare experts at OUAI have reimagined their signature Leave In Conditioner with sleek new packaging and three signature scents. The formula is offered in North Bondi, a fresh floral fragrance, Melrose Place, a velvety-rich rose scent, and the tropical St. Barts. The Leave In Conditioner is powered by tamarind seed extract, panthenol, vitamin E, and hydrolyzed protein to smooth hair, hydrate, protect against heat, and detangle – perfect to tote along to the beach. I love the idea of being able to change up hair products to layer with your other fragrances.
Crown Affair launched the limited-edition Aperitivo Collection. The set features Crown Affair’s Texturizing Air Dry Mousse and limited-edition accessories in warm, summery hues, including the brand’s signature Clips in Honeyed Amber, Scrunchies in Golden Hour, and Travel Pouch in Striped Spritz.

French luxury footwear brand Repetto and BIRKENSTOCK 1774 have announced their first-ever collaboration. Unexpected partners, but the results look fantastic. The capsule reimagines three iconic silhouettes through Repetto's ballet-inspired lens, including the Arizona sandal with oversized round buckles, plus new Scala and Opéra styles. Each design is available in Repetto's signature Pink, Flame Red, and Profound Black, and finished with a Vichy-check footbed lining, a nod to the French house's iconic heritage. The collection will launch globally on July 16.
Alex Mill and Quiet Town are reuniting with a new collaboration. Built from colorful canvas remnants left over from Quiet Town's shower curtains, the collection transforms discarded materials into a series of one-of-a-kind and limited-edition upcycled pieces. Every garment has been assembled by hand, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. The collection features the signature Alex Mill Work Jacket, Easy Shorts, and Signature Tote reimagined in playful Quiet Town colorways.
