Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week is a bizarre – but delightful – smattering of interesting launches spanning desserts that pass as breakfast, wine and cocktails in cans and boxes, and Prada’s digitally supercharged and genuinely inventive splash into Beauty. That sounds fun…let’s get right to it.

Compartés Proposes You Mix Business (Avocado) With Pleasure (Chocolate), $9.95
What’s more utilitarian and optimization-wellness-culture-oriented than avocado toast splashed across social platforms and cafe menus worldwide? Compartés takes the cliché – but beloved – breakfast staple and makes it wonderfully more whimsical with the re-release of its viral Avocado Toast Bar in celebration of National Avocado Day. (Which, if you weren’t aware, happened earlier this week.) Made with a base of white chocolate, blended with real avocado mash sourced from LA farmers markets, and studded with bits of toast for an authentic crunchy bite, this bar is too twisted not to try for yourself. And it will definitely sell out soon – so act swiftly.
Natural Wine In Boxes, Cans, And Farm-To-Table Spritzes – Oh My
If boxed wine and canned alcoholic beverages instantly transport you back to dingy college parties, you might consider opening your mind and palette. It’s 2023, babe! Canned natural wine has proven to be more than just a passing fad. Makers like Nomadica, Las Jaras, and Broc Cellars – just to name a select few – have put in the legwork to change the minds of even the most stubborn skeptics. But the ultimate stamp of approval? Chic canned natural wine from the South of France. Canetta isn’t new to the game, but their rosé is. From a vineyard in Ramatuelle to your wicker picnic basket, this 100% Grenache rosé is natural, crisp, and ready to supercharge your sunny afternoon. Summer is just getting started in my book.
Boxed wine on the other hand might need a more aggressive push to redeem itself. Lucky for us all, Ami Ami is on a mission to change the way we drink wine. After decades in the wine business, the brand’s co-founders realized that boxed wine could be the answer to several pain points in the industry, including glass waste, the carbon footprint of producing and transporting glass, and opening an entire bottle of nice wine when you really just want one glass. The brand makes its wine from sustainable vineyards in the South of France, with minimal intervention techniques and zero additives. It’s time to get over our boxed wine snobbery – and Ami Ami is making it easy to love.
If all of this natural wine talk is making you realize you prefer cocktails, I’ve got just the bev for you. Anytime Spritz, founded by queer women on a mission to bring the farm-to-table ethos to your cocktail hour, is serving up Herby Lime Fizz, Yuzu Ginger Punch, and Cranberry Amaro Splash cans made with transparent and sustainable ingredients ($86 per 24-pack). Chin chin.
Prada, Lip-To-Toe
Prada launched Beauty this week, and other luxury lines might be quaking in their boots. True to form, the Italian house’s approach to beauty – which includes both skincare and makeup – is sleek, chic, and anything but conventional. Formulated with digital technology to test Prada’s pigments on pixel-generated permutations of skin color and tone, the line subverts expectations both in production and aesthetic presentation. All of the lipsticks ($50) are made using only three pigments – compared to a typical lip color, which is usually made with twelve – and are available in “hyper-matte” and “soft matte” iterations. The lip balm is a palette-cleansing shade of mint green sorbet. The eyeshadow palettes are fabulous, geometric, and in striking shades of cyan, canary yellow, and magenta. I could talk about this line – and Prada – for hours. So I’ll let you and your online shopping skills take it from here.
