In partnership with Molekule. Editor’s Note: We only select and work with partners that meet our quality standards, so you can rest assured we only endorse products we believe in.

We have been Molekule fans for a very long time. In fact, we first covered the brand way back in 2022, and we've remained impressed with their air purifiers' ability to tackle everything from wildfire smoke to airborne pollutants during cold and flu season ever since. We even put one of the brand’s air purifiers head to head against two other fan-favorite air purifiers, and it came out on top across technology, efficacy, sound, aesthetics, and value.

So, when the brand announced its new PECOAir+ purifier, our ears – and the rest of our senses, for that matter – perked up. Powered by upgraded PECO-HEPA Advanced technology that captures and destroys pollutants, PECOAir+ also boasts state-of-the-art Sensirion sensors that track everything from your room's temperature and humidity to its CO2 levels. In other words, Molekule isn't just cleaning your air anymore – it's giving you real-time insights into its quality, too. Here's everything you need to know about the brand's latest launch.

What’s New

The biggest upgrade is Molekule's PECO-HEPA Advanced filtration system, which combines activated carbon, HEPA filtration, and proprietary PECO technology to capture particles and destroy gases, VOCs, and small biologic material like viruses, bacteria, and microscopic mold spores at the molecular level. We're talking 70% more activated carbon than previous filters, more HEPA and PECO material than the brand’s Air Pro, and the ability to capture 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. (It’s also Third-Party HEPA Certified, which is hard to come by from competitors who claim they're HEPA.)

It’s also intelligent. PECOAir+ monitors everything from particulate matter and VOCs to CO2, temperature, and humidity, giving you a more complete picture of the exact room where it’s placed. Importantly, it's quieter, too – approximately 10 decibels quieter than the Air Pro at high speed – with five fan speeds and dedicated Sleep and Deep Clean modes.

The Bigger Picture

We’ve all grown so accustomed to optimizing our diets, sleep, and exercise – but many of us aren’t giving the same attention to the literal air we’re breathing. And considering we take roughly 20,000 breaths a day…we should.

Indoor pollutants range from pet dander and pollen to chemicals released by cleaning products and furniture, and rather than trying to scare you, Molekule aims to empower users to know more about their environment and adapt accordingly. PECOAir+ offers a huge step forward.

Our Take

We've loved Molekule for years, and this latest launch gives us even more reason to be excited. With upgraded filtration, smarter technology, and the same design-forward approach we've come to expect, PECOAir+ makes a strong case for taking indoor air quality more seriously.
