Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe.

The past week has seen a slew of celebrity-founded brand announcements, from Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty launching their first fragrance to Martha Stewart’s instantly viral announcement that she’s launching a skincare brand (as covered in last week’s Launch Digest). It feels like every day brings a new crop of press releases for a celebrity-backed brand launch, with varying degrees of meaningful connection between their personae and the products on offer. In a world of mega successes like Rhode Beauty and Fenty, a good old fashioned brand ambassadorship is starting to feel quaint. Why contract to be the face, when you can be the founder?

In a rare counter-example to this celeb-founder-fever, Zendaya has been busy doubling down on her partnership with On. The footwear and apparel brand signed Z as a brand ambassador in 2024, and have seen boosted sales since. Last week, Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach released their first co-created shoe for On, the Cloudzone Moon. This week saw another announcement from the actress and the Swiss athletics brand: a full apparel line co-designed by Zendaya is apparently in the works. Given Zendaya’s outsized influence, it’s interesting that she seems to be wholeheartedly embracing the stability of brand partnerships rather than building a brand from the ground up – so far. We’re interested to see if the trend continues, or if Z catches the founder bug too.

Now onto our roundup of this week’s most exciting product launches!

First Up: A French Girl Chic Secret Weapon

Hair pins have been going viral on TikTok as a chic alternative to hair claws and scrunchies, inspired by the classic French chignon hairstyle. Parisian salon David Mallett has launched a Rose Gold edition of the beautiful David Mallett x Suzanne Syz “Épingle à Cheveux” (AKA hairpin). The polished but playful safety-pin-inspired accessory draws inspiration from fashion icons like Vivienne Westwood, bringing an iconoclastic energy to your next updo. David Mallett has been expanding in NYC, and I cannot wait to check out his new WSA salon – watch this space!

west~bourne, known for their delicious carbon-neutral avocado oil, and iconic citrus purveyors YUZUCO are launching a limited-edition Extra Virgin Yuzu Infused Avocado Oil, west~bourne’s first-ever infusion! This one made me so homesick for California: yuzu + avocado, what could be better for the height of summer?

Few food brands have had a product launch quite so successful or speedily as Graza, the olive oil brand known for their single-varietal olive oil and iconic squeeze bottle. The brand is changing things up and now offers their Sizzle and Drizzle olive oil in glass bottles

Ka’Chava has launched the first new flavor of their all-in-one whole body shake in three years. The new Strawberry flavor is made with real freeze-dried organic strawberries along with 25g of plant-based protein, 6g of fiber, 85+ superfoods, 26 essential vitamins and minerals, and plant-based nutrients like adaptogens, omega-3s, probiotics. Ka’Chava sent over a sample of the new flavor and I’ve been loving it. All Ka’Chava shakes are also 100% vegan, gluten-free, and made without dairy, soy, artificial sweeteners, or preservatives.

Act + Acre has launched the Daily Hydro™ System: a 3-step hydrating combination of shampoo, conditioner, and scalp serum formulated to restore moisture from the root up. The new line of products combines Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid and an Amino Acid Complex with Tilicine, a smoothing plant-based alternative to silicones with minimal build-up. Act + Acre are part of the trend of brands looking at haircare in the same way we look at skincare, formulating active ingredients to boost long term hair health.

Soft Services is releasing the Affogato L’Orange Buffing Bar, a gentler version of their original Buffing Bar. Its moderate-to-mild level of exfoliation helps smooth KP, soften rough patches, and prevent ingrown hairs. The fragrance is inspired by the classic Italian dessert, blending orange, vanilla coconut cream and espresso. Yum!

Before You Go…

  • Very exciting for people wanting to up their home plant game: plant care brand Tendril launched this week with the release of their debut product, The Tendril Planter. The Planter is  self-watering and air-pruning, designed to solve the top three causes of plant death (overwatering, underwatering, and root rot). They sent over a sample of the new design and the planter is gorgeous and very easy to set up!
  •  Summer Away unveiled its Fall ‘25 Collection, Sierra. The collection brings together signature draping and structured styles and features easy transitional pieces like flowy dresses in romantic florals and moody denim prints.
  • Iconic Chicago fashion and lifestyle destination SPACE 519 has officially opened its highly-anticipated second location at Plaza del Lago. The new 6,000-square-foot flagship is inspired by the grand department stores of the past, joining buzzy stores like New York’s recently opened Printemps in creating an immersive, in-person experience as an alternative to online shopping.
