Is the beach club back? While beach clubs may have a bit of a stodgy reputation in the US, it seems like they’ve made a major comeback across the Atlantic this summer. Brands from Missoni to Dior have tapped luxury beach clubs across Europe as the locations for their showiest summer-exclusive pop ups:
Gucci has revamped the beach lounge at Monte Carlo’s iconic La Rose des Vents beach club. Dior has outfitted Capri’s Il Riccio in custom textiles, shoppable Dioriviera cabanas, and a sailboat decked out with Dior detailing. Missoni has rebranded the beach club at Cali Mykonos in its signature textiles. And Burberry has hopped over to France for a beachside pop up at Hôtel Belle Rives.
If July was defined by brands aligning themselves with iconic New England vacation towns, August is shaping up to be all about tapping into exclusive international destinations. Some good news for those of you stuck Stateside this summer: it’s not just luxury pop-ups embracing the Euro summer aesthetic. Several Italy-coded DTC product launches have come across my desk this month, from Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Portofino ‘97 capsule to Piecework’s Positano homewares. It’ll be interesting to see if these waves of site-specific pop-ups and themed launches continue into the fall, or if they were just a beachy blip.
In the meantime, here are some more of our favorite summer launches this week:

First Up: Sessy’s New Line of Korean Pantry Staples

Chef Esther Choi, the acclaimed Korean-American chef, restaurateur, and Food Network host, has launched Sessy, a new Korean-American pantry staple brand. Sessy is inspired by Esther’s passion for culinary fundamentals and her grandmother’s “from scratch” cooking methods. Sessy launched with the Korean Pantry Essentials Set, which includes soy sauce, sesame oil, and gochujang, the foundational building blocks of any Korean pantry. All three are crafted in small batches in partnership with Sempio, one of Korea's oldest food brands. I’ve been sampling the set for the past month and the quality of ingredients is fantastic!
Trending: Pre-Fall Fragrances

Chloé launched Le Nectar, a new, nostalgic fragrance inspired by the free-spirited energy of the 1970s. Created by perfumer Romain Almairac (son of legendary perfumer Michel Almariac who created Chloé Eau De Parfum) Le Nectar is a neo-vintage gourmand that evokes “the warm spirit of vintage fragrance and the luminous ease of contemporary femininity.”
Vyrao introduced their 11th fragrance, Ever 11. The juicy, gender-neutral fragrance with notes of black cherry, leather, and patchouli was developed with neuroscience-backed ingredients proven to amp up wearers’ self-esteem.
Trending: Decadent Beverages

JOLENE Coffee, the canned coffee brand from Shane Powers and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, is expanding its flavor lineup for the first time since launching last year. Their three new latte flavors are Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, and Hazelnut – decadent!
DedCool has debuted the limited-edition Mocha Magic Smoothie at Erewhon, inviting customers to taste its newest scent before they ever smell it! The smoothie, available August 1–31, is inspired by the new scent’s warm, cozy notes. Alongside the new launch, DedCool is bringing back last summer’s Xtra Milk Smoothie, inspired by the brand's bestselling Xtra Milk fragrance.
Before You Go…

- I’ve been excited to share this one: NARS expanded its mascara franchise for the first time since 2018 with the new Notorious Mascara. The humidity-proof formula is designed for 16 hours of smudge-, flake-, clump-, and humidity-resistant wear, while helping condition lashes over time. The brown shade is my favorite new mascara of the year: lightweight and truly smudge-proof, even in the humidity of a sweaty NYC heatwave.
- For those of us already Halloween-prepping: Glamnetic launched Spells & Sparkles, a press-on set including 30 brand-new press-on styles, plus the return of 13 fan-favorite styles.
- Sans expanded its mission of bringing cleaner water into every part of the home with the debut of its chic new Filtered Showerhead: a design-forward showerhead that helps reduce chlorine, chloramine, and odor while conditioning water to help minimize buildup.
- Dieux has released the Firm Revival HydroRetinal Firming Serum, their first-ever retinal formula. Firm Revival was developed for first-time retinoid users and anyone whose skin has struggled with traditional Vitamin A products. It’s formulated to firm, smooth the look of fine lines, and even skin tone, while helping minimize the irritation commonly associated with retinoids.
