Luxury runway shows are engaged in a delicate dance at the moment. The once-ultra-exclusive events opened up their guest lists to influencers in the 2010s, recognizing the need to tap into the content-industrial-complex. That move has arguably been a success: the public has never been more rabid for BTS photos of celebs attending fashion events, captured in part by attending content creators. But seeing influencers on the fashion week front row seems to have unlocked something: people feel more and more entitled to experience these events for themselves. And images alone don’t seem to be cutting it anymore.
So, how are luxury brands satisfying their fans while maintaining the metaphorical velvet rope that drives their brand value? Enter: the new public afterlife of the runway show, or what I’m calling “fashion LARPing.” Louis Vuitton unveiled a new “pop-in” experience at their Beverly Hills boutique this week, which incorporates elements of their Parisian FW26 Menswear show into the store, essentially giving shoppers the experience of attending the show. Dior and the Musée Rodin allowed the public to visit the installation that provided the backdrop for Jonathan Anderson’s first haute couture collection. These public-facing installations cannily satisfy the public’s growing obsession with influencer cosplay while keeping the brands’ actual guest lists tight. C’est chic, no?

First Up: 90s Nostalgia from Cadence x Larissa Mills

Cadence and Larissa Mills have launched a limited-edition Jelly Capsule Collection. The new, playful collaboration between Cadence and Larissa, a content creator and Marie Claire contributing editor, is inspired by the candy-colored jelly sandals that defined the '90s. The collection reimagines Cadence's award-winning Capsule System in three shimmering, translucent colorways. The TSA-compliant Capsules are made with ocean-bound plastic and recycled materials.
Trending: Laundry Upgrades

Quiet Town has expanded into laundry with two new launches: The Canvas Laundry Hamper and The Laundry Backpack. The Laundry Hamper is made from 100% organic canvas with nylon straps, and holds its shape thanks to a double-sided, interfaced construction, even when it's not full. The Laundry Backpack is the more utilitarian sibling: built from heavyweight cotton canvas with a double-reinforced bottom third. A large front pocket fits a box of laundry sheets, a smaller pocket holds quarters or a laundry card, and an interior pocket keeps a phone secure. Both designs come in three colorways.
Following the success of its award-winning steam iron, the Nori Press, Nori is reimagining the garment steamer. Available exclusively at Target, The Nori Cloud was designed to level-up every aspect of a traditional garment steamer: it delivers powerful, high-velocity steam in just 25 seconds (no time waiting for it to heat up), its large-capacity water tank provides up to 20 minutes of continuous steam, an advanced anti-spit system prevents leaks and water spots, and dual steam settings allow users to move between delicate fabrics and stubborn wrinkles.
Trending: High-Functioning Footwear

Nike and Hyperice released the Air Zoom Hyperslide, the second product in their growing wearable recovery technology line. The Hyperslide builds on the foundation of the Nike x Hyperice Hyperboot, this time bringing Hyperice's heat and vibration-focused Venom technology to a recovery slide. The Air Zoom Hyperslide is designed to deliver targeted heat and vibration for marathon runners and couch potatoes alike (consider me in the latter category).
Converse and Noah have teamed up with a new collaboration: the Louie Lopez 2 Pro, by Noah team skater Louie Lopez. Noah has reworked Louie’s signature skate shoe in full-grain suede with subtle branding and a pared-back palette. The shoe’s archive-drawn lines were borrowed from Converse track, cleat, and tennis silhouettes. The LL2 is a follow up from Converse and Noah’s first collaborative collection which launched this spring.
