This Gorgeous Drinks Fridge Has Sold Out 7x – Here’s Our Honest Review.

In partnership with Rocco. Editor’s Note: We only select and work with partners that meet our quality standards, so you can rest assured we only endorse products we believe in.

I'm a drinks guy. A bevy boy. Energy drinks, sodas (probiotic and regular), wine, beer, gardening drinks, and everything in between. I'm always hunting down the latest fun beverage brands, and there's nothing better than having a variety of options at my fingertips.

But here's the problem: my passion has left my kitchen fridge in a constant state of beverage overload. And my wife isn’t happy about it. Finding actual food feels like an archaeological dig through layers of cans and bottles.

The final layer? I’m also an aesthetics guy. The solution wasn’t as simple as finding a run-of-the-mill beverage fridge to store my ever-growing collection of drinks for hosting and writing about on Express Checkout

Enter the Rocco Super Smart Fridge. It’s beautiful, it’s viral (and has sold out 7x), it’s been described as “more than just a fridge” – but is it worth the price tag? I got my hands on one to find out…

First Impressions & Setup

Let me be straight with you about delivery and unboxing. It’s nowhere near IKEA-level hard to assemble, but it isn’t the easiest either. The fridge arrives mostly assembled with instructions printed right on the box, which is very thoughtful. All you have to do is tilt the fridge on its side and screw in the legs. Grab a friend for this part, it's got some heft to it. But that's actually a good sign—this thing is built with a thick steel exterior and metal shelving instead of the plastic you'd find in cheaper fridges. You can feel the premium materials and durability right away.

Worth noting that Rocco offers a white glove service where they'll unbox and set everything up for you, which is a nice option if you want to skip the assembly altogether. I went the DIY route to get the full unboxing experience, but it's good to know that professional setup is available

Once the legs were on, setup was straightforward. You simply plug it in and then you're off to the races. The fun really begins when you start configuring the interior. The versatility here is where Rocco shines. The shelves adjust easily for height, and the racks have this genius reversible design. One side has thicker bars perfectly spaced for wine bottles (five fit per rack), while the flip side has thinner divisions ideal for cans. Moving things around to suit your drinking habits feels less like organizing and more like curating your personal beverage gallery.

It’s a total lifestyle upgrade

Living the Beverage Fridge Life

Once you go beverage fridge, you're not going back. In a world where everything from olive oil to shower heads needs to be aesthetic, it was about time mini fridges got the memo too. The Rocco comes in these bold colors (I went with the subway orange, but the green was tempting), and it's become a legitimate conversation starter. You notice it, in the best possible way. It really brings the room together so nicely. Friends no longer have to awkwardly rummage through my leftovers to find a Diet Coke. Everything's right there, beautifully displayed through the glass door.

The build quality also immediately stands out. This thing is whisper-quiet thanks to the same premium compressor brand used in those $20,000 Sub-Zero fridges. Coming with a 10-year warranty tells you everything about the confidence they have in this product. It's an investment piece that definitely feels like one.

What really impressed me is how well-designed it is for actual living spaces. It gets as cold as your kitchen fridge, sits flush against the wall because the compressor is hidden at the bottom and not the back, and has a slim frame that maximizes capacity without taking over the room.

Speaking of capacity, that’s impressive too. It holds up to 88 cans or 27 wine bottles, or you can mix and match however you like. Essentially, you're getting maximum storage with minimal footprint.

The Smart Features

Of course it's a smart device. This is 2025, after all. The app lets you control the lights, switch between cooling modes (including a Quiet Mode that's perfect for open-plan living), and my favorite is Party Mode, which rapidly cools the fridge after heavy door opening. Genius for when you're hosting.

Setup took a few tries to get right, but once connected, you can control everything. The app is nice and simple. The patent-pending Sight System is ambitious. It's supposed to show you exactly what's in your fridge, down to the specific flavor and which rack it's on. In practice, I'd say it's about 80% accurate. I haven't seen it make a mistake in identifying but have noticed it missed a few cans and bottles. Overall though, it feels like living in the future. Over time I know it will be nice to be able to check my drink inventory even when I'm out of the house.

Think of it as a gorgeous new piece of furniture

So, Is Rocco Worth It?

At $1,800, the Rocco might be considered a “want, not a need,” but it's a lifestyle upgrade. I'd think of it as an incredible functional piece of furniture that's about elevating your space, making hosting effortless, and having a dedicated space for all your cute bevvies. Plus, comparable quality wine fridges easily run $2,000+ and they're only for wine (and don't look as good).

In short: I simply adore this thing. Drinks are always within arm's reach, always at the perfect temperature, and always beautifully displayed. No more beverage Tetris in the kitchen fridge, no more warm beers because there wasn't room in the freezer for a quick chill, and no more apologizing for a limited beverage selection.

The app could use refinement and the price is definitely premium, but for what it delivers (the aesthetic appeal, the quality construction, the smart features, and the sheer convenience), it's become one of those items I can't imagine living without now that I have it. So whether you just got a bonus at work, are adding this to a registry, or just want to splurge on yourself, the Rocco is totally worth it. It pays dividends every time someone reaches for a perfectly chilled drink.

It’s almost sold out…again. Order one here while you can.
