Where are my busty babes at?! When I tell you that finding bikini tops that fit has been a lifelong struggle of mine, I know I’m not alone. This topic has been discussed widely amongst my girlies who have a heavier chest, and although we’ve tried out many different brands that claim to be inclusive, not one has ever felt like they’re actually here for us.
That’s why coming across RAQ felt like a true blessing. Not only is their swimwear cute and supportive, but it's available in 56 bra sizes, starting at a D cup! What I like most about this brand is that they take the word "inclusive" to the next level. RAQ is genuinely here for the busty babes, and when they talk about inclusivity, they mean starting at a D cup and anything beyond that. If that means you, then discover your dream bikini by diving into the world of RAQ!
- Finally a brand for the busty babes! Love feeling sexy & supported in inclusive swimwear.
- I love the limited edition approach RAQ takes – there’s a unique bunch in every collection & this summer one has been absolutely divine!
- RAQ strives to make a positive impact in the world through a sustainable and transparent approach. Recognizing the indigenous land they inhabit & being aware of their environmental impact is music to my ears.
We don't like
- Although these bikinis are worth the money, they still are on the pricier side.
- The sizing chart was a bit confusing for me to navigate, which is where their Fit Calculator really comes into play. For those who are unsure of their bra size, this is particularly handy, but I got overwhelmed trying to understand RAQ’s unique sizing system.
BIG BUSTS DON’T LIE
RAQ’s founder, Sophia Argy, knows the struggle of finding a bikini that fits firsthand, but finding one that is also comfortable, supportive and stylish was the task she could never quite figure out. So in hopes of creating that which she could not find, Sophia was motivated to design the bikini of her dreams: a simple yet supportive top, available in a variety of band and cup sizes, just like a bra, for those with a fuller bust. In 2018, she invested her own personal savings to establish RAQ, which was then launched with a sole black bikini offered in 12 different bra sizes. The feedback was exceptionally positive and with the enthusiasm of the full-figured community, Sophia’s brand has made huge advances in the years since. They’ve successfully expanded their size range every year, and their exclusive selection of colors and prints is loved by busty people across the world. With the goal of bringing great happiness to their community, aiding them in feeling self-assured, celebrated and at ease in their bikinis, Sophia feels confident in saying her efforts and dedication have been more than worthwhile.
The brand’s core values encompass:
Inclusivity: one of their proudest achievements is the extensive size range, which allows them to cater to a diverse range of individuals and ensure that every busty babe can find a product that fits them perfectly;
Quality Craftsmanship: their products are designed to offer support and comfort, and they take great care to craft each item with this in mind. At RAQ they believe in conscious production, meaning creating limited runs of their products, which allows them to maintain a high level of quality while ensuring that each piece is truly unique;
Sustainability & Transparency: they're intentional about reducing their environmental impact and promoting sustainability in the fashion industry. They use recycled materials, free of harmful chemicals, to craft every product, fabrics and components;
Growth & Innovation: RAQ continuously strives to enhance their products and practice by listening to customers' feedback and suggestions, as they are the lifeblood of the brand. They encourage their community to use the Product Request Form to make suggestions in terms of new sizes, styles and colors. Every response is valued and helps create products the community loves;
And lastly Land Acknowledgement: this brand also proudly acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation (Australia) as the traditional custodians of the country where they work. They pay their respects to Elders past, present and emerging and strongly believe that Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.

BOW DOWN BABES
RAQ’s Fit Philosophy is to cater to different preferences and ensure a comfortable fit for all body types. Thus, they design each piece with maximum adjustability and flexibility in mind. With the help of their Fit Calculator to determine your bra size and corresponding RAQ size, you can confidently choose a size knowing that it can be altered to fit your unique body shape. It was really helpful for me to know the fit of each bikini, both top and bottom, so that I could decide how I wanted the bikini to look on my own body and choose my size accordingly.
I made sure to choose various colors, styles and sizes to see which ones I liked best. I am a sucker for any balconette shaped bra, so when I saw RAQ’s Balconette Top, I had to get it in two different colors: Emerald and Floss (both $130). And let me tell you - the emerald color is everything! My medium brown skin loves to soak up the sun in the summer, and both the emerald green color and the floss pink perfectly complimented my glistening glow.
The straps are adjustable and the cups mold nicely into your bust. It doesn’t stretch out when in the water, so I come out feeling confident knowing that my boobs are being held up nicely. This style does run small in the cup size, so make sure to size up for more coverage. I got a DD and could’ve easily gone for one size bigger. The cups are fully lined, no padding, just how I like it, and the underwire is comfortable with no side boob.
To match these two bikini tops, I decided to try out the High Leg Brief in Emerald ($80), which is a best seller for a reason. This style offers a high waist fit and a long leg, so it can sit at the belly button or just below, and even for a short girly like me, this look slays. Keep in mind that this style runs slightly large, so size down from your normal brief size, especially if you don’t have a lot of booty to work with.
To complete my Balconette top in Floss, I decided to try out the Cheeky Tie Side Brief in Floss ($70) as well. This was a bit outside of my comfort zone, as someone who has a belly that she doesn’t always love to show off. But I have no regrets because these cheeky bottoms leave me with the perfect booty tan! And I love that you can adjust the side ties to your liking - so for the babes with some hips, these ties will perfectly hug your curves or sit loosely below them.
Last but not least, I also wanted to try out the Multi-Way Top ($140) so I decided to get it in Black. You can never go wrong with a black bikini, and I’m not surprised this is their best-seller because it’s simply so fun to play around with. You can tie it anyway you like by threading the ties through the loops on the inside of the band. And to match it up, I chose the 90's Brief in Black ($80) which are the perfect bottoms for a little more coverage. These are now my go to when I’m on my period or when I’m feeling a bit bloated. They perfectly hug my hips and are just simply so flattering. These are a classic staple must-buy for anyone trying out RAQ.
RAQ-ING IT UP
After years of feeling ambivalent or downright uncomfortable in my swimwear, I can't tell you how good it feels to have finally found RAQ. It's been the perfect capstone to my summer to luxuriate in all they have to offer, and to spread the news to all the ladies out there who are ready for that reinvention.
