We like
We don't like
Ever since I discovered Halfdays in 2021, I’ve waited (im)patiently for their new collections and colors to drop every year. This year, I finally got to see that drop in person at their Denver flagship, and it truly felt like Christmas morning. Halfdays just gets it. The brand – which TQE has followed for years (you can check out our interview with co-founders Ariana Ferwerda, Karelle Golda, and Kiley McKinnon here) – designs for women who want to look chic, feel confident, and stay functional on the mountain.
As someone who learned to ski in my twenties (thank you, boyfriend with a ski family), I know firsthand how intimidating the sport can feel. The gear, the lingo, the unspoken ‘everyone knows what they’re doing’ energy…it's a lot. Thankfully, Halfdays’ kits have made me feel comfortable, stylish, and most importantly, like I belong on the slopes – long before my black diamond days (yes, that was a humble brag). Needless to say, I was thrilled to check out their flagship – and I took notes on every part of the experience.
Inside the Flagship: Minimalism Meets Mountain Chic
Walking into the Halfdays flagship in Denver feels like stepping into a dream closet or the Aprés Barbie Dream House. The design is clean and minimalist, all neutral tones and intentional lighting. Every detail feels intentional. The hangers are perfectly spaced, the displays are color-coordinated like a mood board, and even the fitting rooms feel elevated. Plus it’s complete with the kindest, most genuinely helpful staff.

Fresh Colors, Familiar Confidence: Halfdays’ Newest Drop
On top of their core colors, this year’s Winter 2025 collection is all about limited edition Glazed Cherry and Amethyst. Glazed Cherry is that deep, warm red that somehow flatters everyone. I instantly fell for the Johnson Top and Sophia Leggings in this color (the seamless texture hugs in all the right places without feeling restrictive). Designed for down to 15 degrees with compression to keep it in place, these are going to be the foundation to every good ski fit this year.

Amethyst on the other hand, is softer and cooler: a gentle lilac tone that somehow feels both sporty and high fashion. It’s dreamy in the Hedy Belted Puffer, which has this cinched waist that makes you look and feel so polished. It’s rare for ski gear to be this functional and this flattering, but that’s what Halfdays is known for.

And can we talk about the striped base layers (Johnson Top + Sophia Legging) and Merino Beanie? The limited-edition Amethyst/Glazed Cherry combo might be one of my favorite things they’ve ever done.

The Forecast Calls for More Halfdays:
Every season, and every drop, Halfdays’ collection just gets better, which honestly feels unfair to the rest of my winter wardrobe. If the next lineup is even close to this good, I’ll be first through the flagship doors.
Halfdays isn’t just outerwear: it’s confidence you can zip up. It’s a reminder that you can be both functional and feminine, sporty and stylish. I love that they’re building something that feels inclusive, empowering, and fun, because that’s what skiing should be.
Until next launch, you can find me in Glazed Cherry and Amethyst, sipping something fun at the lodge or on Vail’s Legendary Back Bowls. Both of which, I’ll be best dressed.
