Bubbly Summer Beverages Are So Not Over
While J. Crew is rolling out its September knits, we’re experiencing a 100 degree heatwave here in LA. Thankfully, the beverage launches this week are tailor-made for an endless summer.
Love Ghia so much you find yourself wishing those cans were just a little bit larger? You’re not alone. This week, the NA brand launched a new category with Le Fizz, a large-format bubbly bev crafted for celebrations (and social drinking, even if you’re abstaining from alcohol). The first flavor release – which hints to me that there will be more – is a Strawberry Orange Blossom, made with Ghia’s Berry Aperitif, orange blossom, and bubbles. Think a juicy, dry, vibrant pet-nat – with natural tannins from berry and citrus, and no alcohol or added sugar, at a slightly better price point than your favorite bottle of lambrusco. The perfect end of summer sip. Here’s hoping we see a champagne version come December….
Speaking of fruity sparkling beverages, Aura Bora launched a Blackberry Black Pepper flavor, which makes me wonder if the brand’s brainstorming meetings consist of people shouting alliterations and free association concepts in a boardroom. I’m not hating – it’s being pitched as “subtly spicy” and “tart, jammy” – and I’m sure it’s delicious.
Objects Of Beauty From Victoria Beckham, Augustinus Bader, And Spain
Saie’s Glossybounce got three new shimmer shades this week, adding to the brand’s existing line of six sheer shades in the ultra-hydrating gloss-oil hybrid. Meet: Disco, Shake, and Remix. To pair, the brand launched the Lip Liner 101: a fool-proof, blendable, and nourishing liner that enhances your natural lip shape in five neutral shades (with no tugging, tightness, or dryness).
Victoria Beckham partnered with the maker of her favorite moisturizer, Augustinus Bader, on an innovative new product for her beauty line: The Concealer Pen, a high-impact formula that combines complexion coverage with AB’s proprietary Trigger Factor Complex technology. Say goodbye to your cakey concealer and hello to a pen that visibly erases fine lines, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation, all while enhancing your skin and disguising imperfections. We love a product that multitasks.
Way back in January, Tower 28 launched a limited-edition red cream blush – and it sold out within a week. On Tuesday, the brand brought back the fan-favorite neutral red flush, named Finest Hour and designed to flatter all skin tones. Made with skin-loving ingredients like green tea and aloe vera extracts to give your complexion a boost with every application, and likely to sell out again; if you love it, make it yours.
LOEWE collaborated with porcelain brand Lladró on three botanical fragrances bottled in limited-edition flasks (topped by porcelain flower caps). The collection brings together the two Spanish design houses dedicated to artisan craft, creativity, and hand-formed porcelain petals. Each flower cap takes five days to make, which is probably why there are only 600 flasks of each fragrance available. Agua Drop is rich, warm, and combines Spanish Rockrose wildflower with bergamot and orange; 001 Woman mixes jasmine, linen, and musk; and Earth features notes of truffle, pear, mimosa, and violet. Buy a perfume and get a one-of-a-kind art object – a steal at just $1,050.
Before You Go…
Loro Piana and New Balance made 1,000 pairs of $1,000 sneakers. I still prefer the Miu Mius, but I can’t afford either, so what does my opinion matter? More importantly: are we all just collectively overlooking the luxury brand’s exploitation of Indigenous workers in Peru to make a $9,000 sweater? Oh how quickly the fashion news cycle turns…
Graza and Talenti teamed up at the U.S. Open this week to drizzle EVOO on your favorite gelato. Apologies if you don’t live in New York, there isn’t a Talenti x Graza gelato flavor for you to shop – yet.
I’m finally paying attention to David after reading about it on Emily Sundberg’s Feed Me . (Before this, I had seen it on LinkedIn, but what destroys a yet-to-launch brand’s sex appeal faster than a LinkedIn post?) Low calorie, high protein (like, 28 grams of protein, high protein), and no sugar – just depressing and health-optimized enough to succeed in an Ozempic and convenience-crazed culture, whether I like it or not. I’ll give you a heads up when it’s live to shop (and “eat”).
Happy shopping. Email me directly – [email protected] – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
