Launch Digest: Postmodern Cocktail Glasses And Herbal Medicine For The Masses

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the web’s best products. If you purchase through our links, we may receive a commission. Our editorial team is independent and only endorses products we believe in.

Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. Much like last week’s edition, these launches span every category and genre, from seasoning you can carry in your pocket to cocktail (or mocktail) glasses that look like pieces of art. Holiday season is fast-approaching, and while we’ve got some exciting limited launches to share with you all soon, DTC brands are not slowing down in the interim. I’ve even got the scoop on one of my favorite herb brands – which has a totally new look, and lower prices, too. Sit back, relax, and prepare to add a few tinctures to your cart.

Ghia And Sophie Lou Jacobsen Do What They Do Best: Make Beautiful Things, $110

Credit: Ghia

Hot off the (glass blowing) press: Ghia just got even more gorgeous. Our favorite non-alcoholic aperitif brand, which already manages to consistently turn out products in packages that look almost too beautiful to unbox, is taking apero hour to the next level with the help of designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen. Together, Ghia founder Mélanie Masarin and Jacobsen devised the idea for the collaboration over drinks (of course): Totem martini-style glasses, inspired by postmodernism and Ghia’s original bottle and label aesthetic, designed to elevate any beverage. The stemless glasses come in sets of two. Select between Provence or Paris colorways for a unique but complementary pair that will make your aperitivo ritual feel anything but routine. And this is just the beginning – we’ve got word that Ghia will be launching a series of decorative objects for entertaining  in the coming seasons. You’ll be the first to know, we promise.

Wooden Spoon Herbs Gets A Makeover – And It’s Even More Amazing Than Meets The Eye

Credit: Wooden Spoon Herbs

At the beginning of this week, Wooden Spoon Herbs introduced an entirely new look. But the rebrand is more than just an aesthetic transformation. The makeover brings with it a few new offerings, like an Herbal Starter Kit ($95) and Magic Magnesium powder ($26), the latter of which combines the super benefits of spirulina with calming magnesium. What’s more enticing than a stunning design on every bottle and exciting new products? Price changes that reflect Wooden Spoon Herb’s dedication to its mission of making herbal healing accessible to a greater number of people.

At a time when almost all brands are consistently raising their prices, WSH has significantly lowered the prices of each product while still prioritizing the integrity and quality of its formulas. By scaling up order minimums, the brand has been able to lower prices (choosing to pass on the benefits to its customers, instead of pocketing the increased margins). Wooden Spoon Herbs is paving the way for a wellness industry without the luxury barrier; a future that emphasizes true health and healing as inseparable from financial accessibility. Just in time for my restock on the brand’s addictive Herbal Coffee ($24). Adding to cart, again and again.

Charles & Keith Collaborates With BOTH For A Capsule Collection Of Imperfect Footwear, from $166

Credit: Charles & Keith

Last week, Singapore-based shoe brand Charles & Keith partnered with Parisian footwear brand BOTH – known for its unique use of rubber in its shoe designs – to launch a new collection highlighting the art of imperfection. Drawing on the history of Kintsugi, an ancient Japanese method of mending cracks in ceramics and binding broken pieces with gold, the new 90s grunge-inspired shoes and bags allude to this technique as a metaphor for embracing flaws and individual imperfections. Browse the collection, and you just might find your next perfectly imperfect autumn accessory.

The World’s Most Flattering Sunglasses Get The 2022 Treatment,  $185

Credit: Westward Leaning

San Francisco-born sunglass brand Westward Leaning is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with the launch of the brand new Nomad ($185), a modern take on its original Pioneer frame ($185). The Pioneer – which was tested on hundreds of different face shapes to design the most universally flattering fit in 2012 – has inspired all of Westward Leaning’s collections since. Today, the Nomad incorporates the unisex, looks-good-on-everyone approach with a more modern and boxy spin. Over the years, Westward Leaning has been worn by everyone, from Justin Bieber to Gigi Hadid and yeah, even Madonna. Whether you’re drawn to the brand’s futuristic Sport collection or find yourself – like me – taken by the timeless Nomad, Westward Leaning has you covered. Universal hotness and simultaneous sun protection, guaranteed.

Jacobsen Salt Co Says: Why Settle For A Bland Life?, from $9

Credit: Jacobsen Salt Co.

Jacobsen Salt Co., the artisan salt maker known for its delicious pantry essentials and collaborations with cult-favorite brands like Fly By Jing and Stumptown, just dropped a limited edition version of its sea salt slide tins. While brand superfans are already familiar with these tins as convenient “pocket salts” that save boring meals (whether at home or out and about), this new limited launch features slide tin versions of the brand’s classic infused salts. Never go without your artisan Black Garlic or Lemon Zest Salt again – whether you’d prefer to stash it in your pocket, purse, or picnic basket. We won’t judge.

Super Real, Super Delicious, (Oat) Milk Chocolate, $38.99

Credit: SuperMajor

There’s a new chocolate brand on the scene – and that’s certainly newsworthy to me. SuperMajor, an oat milk chocolate brand that launched this month, was founded by Christina Stevens, a serial entrepreneur who recently left her other venture, Sdara Skincare, to make vegan chocolate. After determining that dairy had been the culprit behind undiagnosed and incurable adult acne, Christina began to live a more plant-based lifestyle. While there were plenty of dairy-free alternatives for many familiar favorites, she was dissatisfied by vegan milk chocolates made with additives and unnecessary sugar. Meet: SuperMajor, a super delicious oat “milk” chocolate with no added sugar or inflammatory allergens. Treat yourself from the inside out.

I’ll be back next week with a new set of launches in the DTC universe. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
