Between signing up to be the first ever brand ambassador for Lisa Eldridge Beauty last month, the runaway success of her recent Madewell collaborations, and TikTok’s embrace of the Mulberry bags she made famous in the 2010s, Alexa Chung seems to be everywhere again and I couldn’t be happier. But what’s behind the resurgence of the 2010’s ultimate It Girl? 

Chung represents a type of effortless early internet authenticity from before the age of spon-con, UGC, and aesthetic-flattening algorithms. As consumers get hip to the careful image-crafting behind their favorite influencers’ sponsored content, true authenticity has become more elusive than ever. We’re hungry for the taste and opinions of someone who actually has taste and opinions. After all, what does it mean to be a trendsetter when every other post is bought and paid for? 

Chung’s style is messy and cool and intended for real life, not a photo op. In the age of AI and influencers, it’s genuine, idiosyncratic tastemakers like Chung who are going to set trends and connect with audiences, not just amplify whatever aesthetic-du-jour the algorithm throws at us. Her stamp of approval is still meaningful a decade or more into her career because she’s never compromised her personal style for the sake of trend-chasing or an easy payout. I’m hopeful that the resurgence of Alexa Chung points to a revival of authenticity in 2026. After all, who better to show us how to ride out the chaos of the current moment with grace than the woman who made a muddy field in Glastonbury the chicest place in the world?

First Up: Alexa Chung Reteams With Madewell

Case in point: Alexa Chung’s new collab with Madewell. As part of her 2025 renaissance, the effortless fashion icon has put together another collection with Madewell. The third drop of their partnership features 31 pieces inspired by decades of sourcing vintage fashion. Each piece was designed to be styled together or weave seamlessly into your wardrobe as separates. Madewell put together a fun BTS film of Alexa’s design process which you can watch here.

Kathy Kuo and UrbanStems have collaborated on a holiday collection of three exclusive bouquets designed by Kathy Kuo. Quince has continued its seemingly limitless expansion with the launch of Gourmet Food & Wines, a curated selection of elevated culinary and gifting essentials. Following their Royal Osetra Caviar launch that’s sold out many times over, Quince is anticipating growing customer demand for luxury culinary experiences at home. In addition to caviar, the selection includes Dom Pérignon champagne and rare White Alba truffles.

Last Crumb has teamed up with Guinness on a limited edition holiday set. Each order includes six handcrafted cookies, a collectible holiday tin, and two 16 oz Guinness glasses. Three of the cookies are baked with Guinness as a key ingredient and three of them are Last Crumb classics curated to pair perfectly with a pint. 

An exciting new brand launch: Oh So Easy is a globally-inspired baking mix brand, rooted in representation across various third-cultures and immigrant communities in the US. The brand's first three mixes are an Ube Blondie Mix (Filipino-Inspired), a Miso Caramel Brownie Mix (Chinese-Japanese-Inspired), and a Spiced Yellow Cake Mix (Palestinian-Inspired). Each mix was co-created with a chef partner from that respective culture. I love the idea of gifting a premium baking mix as a way to make a host’s life a little easier this holiday season.

  • Luxe leather accessory brand Pagerie and contemporary Los Angeles artist Lana Gomez have collaborated on The Lana Bag, a capsule of just 50 one-of-one handbags. Each piece is cut from a single large-scale artwork hand-painted by Gomez, then sculpted into a bag by the same world-renowned leather artisans who craft for iconic maisons including Loewe, Louis Vuitton, and Chloé. A fascinating combination of functional design and fine art. 
  • Ruggable has unveiled Kindred Cottage, a new autumnally-inspired collection of machine washable rugs. The collection features 24 designs inspired by the romance, artistry, and natural beauty of New York’s Hudson Valley. The brand also recently launched a colorful collab with fashion label RIXO.
