Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week – I won’t lie to you, we’re all over the map. From adaptogenic mocha lattes to bourbon oolong cocktail bitters (don’t even think about saying that three times fast), our favorite DTC brands continue to turn out new launches that are great on their own, and even better gifted. Let’s get to it.
PSL, Move Over: Clevr Knows It’s Time For Serious Holiday Sipping, $28
With temperatures (finally) dropping to match the shift in seasons, I know I can’t be the only one craving warm, soothing beverages from morning to night. Clevr has answered the call. Oprah’s favorite SuperLatte brand just introduced a new flavor to its nourishing and indulgent line-up: Mocha ($28), a delicious blend of Fair Trade coffee and vanilla bean, single origin cinnamon from Diaspora Co, and regenerative Ecuadorian cacao. Why not treat yourself this holiday season by ditching your latte energy crash and curling up with Clevr’s supercharged Mocha? With one third the caffeine you’d find in a typical latte and added adaptogenic mushrooms like Ashwagandha, Lion’s Mane, and Reishi, this beverage is far more…clever…than the average. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)
Coasters By Gaetano Pesce, Complex Cocktails By You, $145
While we’re in your kitchen, might we discuss cocktails? Acid League, the brand known for its raw and zippy vinegars (and more recently for its non-alcoholic wine brand, Proxies), just launched the Ultimate Cocktail Kit ($145). Emphasis on the word “ultimate”: these ingredients will make an instant mixologist out of you. With syrups like Medjool Date and Citrus Saffron; Elderberry Vermouth and Bourbon Oolong bitters; and cocktail brine that’s waiting to spice up your favorite Dirty Martini, the Kit has everything for every type of drink (and drinker). If you’re totally lost when it comes to cocktails, fear not – it also comes with a recipe book. My favorite part? Two resin coasters designed by Gatano Pesce and hand-blown glass stir sticks made in collaboration with Ecem Aksoy. You’ll want to plan some cocktail parties just to get these materials in action, pronto.
Speaking Of Dinner Parties…Material Kitchen Will Set The Table, from $50
Material Kitchen – we know and love the brand primarily for its immaculate knives and cookware – has expanded into linen and glassware. And it’s really terrific. Made of 100% flax linen that ages like a fine wine, the collection includes napkins ($55 per set of four), placemats ($55 for a pair) and tablecloths ($95) in beautiful warm-toned neutrals that are ideal for holiday dinner tablescapes. The glassware, featuring a Half Glass ($50 per set of four) and Full Glass ($65 per set of four) available in Clear, Haze, and Malachite, is made of borosilicate glass and exudes a timeless vintage style, with a distinctly modern shape. Adding to cart – for holiday hosting and gift-giving galore.
Madewell And Donni Collaborate On A Very Cozy, Very “LA-Winter” Collection, from $52
Madewell collaborated with Donni this week to launch a sustainable and cozy capsule collection, featuring colorblocked socks ($52), beanies ($78), crisp shirts ($173), loungewear ($139), and a cashmere-merino shirt jacket ($218) I didn’t know I absolutely needed. The launch is full of great wardrobe staples, and pairs Donni’s signature waffle-knit fabric with Madewell’s neutral, timeless silhouettes. It’s a cozy collection that keeps it simple, striking a balance between classic and polished with elevated details – like pearls attached to winter socks.
Scent Lab Marries AI And Candles – A Match Made In Fragrance Heaven?, from $30
Is there anything more difficult than picking out a candle fragrance online? (Surely the answer to that question is yes, but go with me here.) Scent Lab has the solution, and it just launched last week: it’s the first digital platform that leverages data and AI technology to identify your ideal scent. While this is plenty of fun to use for yourself – and you’ll definitely want to take the quiz and check out a votive sampler set – it’s also a thoughtful tailor-made gift for the holiday season. It might not be time for gifts just yet, but we’re here to keep you ahead of the game.
Less Is More: Nicole Saldana Releases Three Shoes For Winter, from $325
Nicole Saldana, the small NYC-based brand making perfect shoes I cannot quite afford but will nonetheless yearn for, released the first drop of its Fall/Winter Collection this week. There are only three shoes to pick from, which is both good and bad news: you’ll want more from Saldana, but at least your wallet is partially protected by a limiting reactant (you can only go home with three pairs). I’m making bedroom eyes at the Isabel ($325).
Go Green: Matcha Lozenges For Your Health, $12.99
Cold and flu season is back! (That isn’t a trend report, it’s simply a fact.) Lucky for you – and me – Beekeeper’s Naturals has teamed up with Steph Shep, founder of Future Earth, to create a matcha lozenge ($12.99) that delivers energy with ceremonial grade Japanese matcha and boosts your immune system with propolis extract, honey, and Vitamin D.
