For The Person Who’s A Little Too Territorial Around The Grill: Brightland’s New Summer BBQ Capsule, $85

Credit: Brightland

With Father’s Day around the corner and summer sun peeking out from behind spring showers, Brightland just dropped its limited-run Summer BBQ Capsule ($85), a bundle complete with everything you need for a flavorful – and artisan – cookout. The capsule includes the brand’s delicious AWAKE Extra Virgin Olive Oil, RAPTURE Blackberry Balsamic Vinegar, and a TERRAIN Spice Blend in collaboration with Burlap x Barrel that will liven up your typical marinade, dry rub, and even a crudité dip. It also includes beautiful titanium-coated gold grill tongs, and Grill Lines, a booklet of BBQ recipes by Will Coleman that incorporates the products in Brightland’s capsule. So…who’s firing up the grill? I’ll bring the drinks – see below.

The Beverage Digest: Adaptogenic Rosé, A Spritz Kit For A Zero-Proof Cocktail Hour, And Botanical Mezcal Cocktails In A Can

Welcome to my favorite corner of this column: the Beverage Digest. New liquid launches in the DTC world could comprise their own digest entirely, but this week I’m highlighting just a few exciting drinkable delights worth your attention.

Credit: Kin Euphorics and Madre Mezcal

Kin Euphorics debuted Kin Bloom ($30 per 8-pack), the brand’s take on a sparkling strawberry wine, which draws on the herbal superpowers of Ashwagandha, Schisandra Berry, and L-Theanine – adaptogens and nootropics to enhance joy. (Side note from me: Ashwagandha also improves focus and reduces stress, while Schisandra Berry is a known beautifier– so if your skin looks a bit more radiant, you can thank the Kin can.) It’s got zero alcohol, zero caffeine, and under 4g of sugar. I’m eager to sip this one all day.

Credit: Ghia

Ghia introduced its First Sip Kit ($50) a few weeks ago, which has everything you need to try Ghia for the first time. Complete with a 250 ml bottle of the delicious alcohol-free aperitif, 2 cans of Ghia-Soda, 2 cans of Ghia-Ginger, and a beautiful pour spout, it’s the perfect gateway to becoming a Ghia devotee. (And yes, this one lives up to the hype: I still have friends who, despite not living alcohol-free lifestyles, beg for a Ghia spritz when they come over for a visit. Zero-proof, but totally intoxicating.)

Madre Mezcal launched Desert Water ($40.99 per 8-pack) this week, a blend of Madre Espadin mezcal, sparkling water, and a pairing of real fruit, plants, and herbs that nod to mezcal’s heritage as a plant medicine. With only 5% ABV, no sugar, and flavors like “Mushroom, Sage, and Honey” and “Prickly Pear and Lemon,” these refreshing canned cocktails are the ideal add-on for a picnic or sunny afternoon in the park.

SVNR And My Clinical Retail Therapist – The RealReal – Team Up For A Limited-Edition Upcycled Collection, from $150

AAPI-founded jewelry label SVNR just launched a collaboration with The RealReal consisting of 150 unique pieces that celebrate both brands’ dedication to minimizing their carbon footprint and closing the consumption loop. Each piece was handmade by SVNR designer Christina Tung, using exclusively natural, found, and upcycled materials like coral, Venetian glass, freshwater pearls, Lapis Lazuli, and Amethyst, authenticated by TRR’s in-house gemologists. Each piece is also gorgeous, colorful, playful, chic, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Stop AAPI Hate – I could go on, but I’ll let you shop for yourself. I’ve got my eye on…everything.

Alo Yoga Does Beauty, Too: Get Your Outer Glow (While You Work On Your Inner Peace), from $12

Credit: @alowellness_

Alo Yoga, widely known for its activewear that transitions from your morning pilates class to your afternoon errands, has been – unbeknownst to me, until now – making skincare. And it’s surprisingly really, really good. Because I’m a cynical consumer, I had doubts about the activewear brand’s expansion into the beauty space, but the brand’s “Glow System” may change your mind (and skincare routine), as it did mine.

The hero ingredient of the brand’s beauty collection is the amla berry, which has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. I’m currently addicted to the Head-To-Toe Glow Oil ($48) followed by the Superfruit Body Lotion ($28), both of which are wildly moisturizing (and smell just as divine). Browse the full Glow System on the Alo site – and maybe you’ll check out the new summer launches while you’re there.

I’ll be back next week with a new set of launches in the DTC universe. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
