Prolific, playful, and prescient fashion designer Jonathan Anderson managed to conquer high street and high fashion in one fell swoop this week, launching two collections that epitomize the designer’s range. When Anderson left Loewe, there were questions about whether he’d be able to make his mark on a larger, more established fashion house. After this week’s Dior show, there can be no doubt that the most influential designer in the world is ready to shepherd French fashion back into the spotlight. But Anderson’s real magic trick is that he’s managed to re-launch a brand that epitomizes luxury while simultaneously re-vamping one of the most accessible, fastest-growing ready to wear brands in the world.
On the one hand, you have the launch of the latest collab between Anderson’s namesake brand J.W. Anderson and Uniqlo, full of flawlessly-executed staples like button downs and (already sold out) track pants. I went down to Uniqlo to check out the new offerings first hand, and am happy to report that the straight leg jeans continue to be the best-tailored, best-quality pants I’ve found for under $50. They’ve become the anchor of my daily writing uniform: I own them in 3 colors and 3 sizes, each offering a slightly different shade and slouch. Like GAP in its ‘90s heyday, this is a collection designed for flexibility and accessibility.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Anderson released his high concept, Tuileries-inspired Dior F/W 2026-2027 Ready-to-Wear collection in Paris this week. After the tepid nostalgia of Demna’s much-anticipated debut Gucci collection fell flat in Milan, it was a relief to see Anderson fully settle into his take on Dior’s femme, flirty silhouettes. And this couldn’t be farther from the comfortably-familiar nouveau-prep staples of the Uniqlo x JWA collab: Anderson’s Dior collection injected every single piece with unexpected textures, conceptual references, and bold spins on classic silhouettes. The Dior “O” was cheekily transformed into a turtle-shaped handbag, pointed-toe pumps unfolded around sculptural rosettes and waterlilies, the cloth buttons on classic bar jackets cascaded down pant legs – every new look offered a thrilling surprise.
I can’t wait to track how the influence of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior continues to leapfrog from the luxe high fashion house down to more affordable high street brands in the coming months.

Scandi haircare brand Maria Nila launched Bond Builder, a unique, multi-benefit, lightweight leave-in treatment for damaged hair. The patent-pending formula repairs and strengthens hair’s internal
disulfide bonds, protects the keratin structure, and protects against heat, strengthens the surface, while delivering instant softness and shine. I’m a big fan of their Gloss Coat, so I am excited to check out this new product.

Trending: Hydration Innovation

Handcare brand PAUME launched their Hydrating Antibacterial Hand Mist. The mist reimagines sanitizing into a skincare step by actively hydrating and repairing skin with niacinamide and aloe, while evening out skin tone and texture. While frequent sanitization usually leaves hands feeling dry, this mist kills bacteria while also offering much-needed hydration. As a bonus, it comes in a cute, refillable dispenser.
Westman Atelier introduced HydroBalm Tinted Lipstick. The new lip product is formulated to combine the hydrating comfort of a balm with a sheer, buildable tint and subtle sheen. HydroBalm Technology with Hyaluronic Acid locks in moisture, and the twelve wearable shades melt onto lips with a fresh wash of color, designed for casual, everyday wear.
