Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week, I’m bringing you sugar, spice, and…oregano: a decadent (and literally hot) Mother’s Day collab, oils for tanning and pizza, and a battle of new bag verticals from both Coach and Reformation. And – it goes without saying – plenty more. Let’s get right to it.

Brightland Says: Now THAT Is Amoré, $32

Credit: Brightland

Everyone’s favorite olive oil just got a little more Italian. Brightland, the brand known for its uber-fresh and flavorful pantry essentials, debuted its one-of-a-kind Pizza Oil ($32), tailor-made for your favorite slice with crushed jalepeños, garlic, oregano, and basil blended into cold-pressed Arbosana, Arbequina, and Mission olives. Engineered for liberal drizzling, dipping, and dousing, the herbaceous oil is cut by notes of green pepper and oregano, balancing out the bright and fruity flavors of the freshest olive oil on the market. Ideal for upgrading your pizza night, whether it’s made from scratch or delivered to your doorstep.

Sugar, Spice, And Everything Nice – C/O Fly By Jing and The Caker, $55

Credit: The Caker

As you prepare to spoil the woman who deserves it most, Fly By Jing and The Caker have teamed up to launch the ultimate Mother’s Day collaboration: a Sichuan-pepper-infused chocolate cake. The Emperor’s Sichuan Pepper Chocolate Cake kit ($55) fuses The Caker’s cult-favorite flourless, dark chocolate cake kit with FBJ’s best-selling Tribute Pepper Oil for a surreal and decadent flavor experience. Go ahead, claim your spot as the favorite child.

DEUX You Dare To Eat This By The Spoonful? $16

Credit: Deux

Everyone’s favorite better-for-you cookie dough (which you can – and should – eat raw) Deux introduced yet another vegan, gluten-free, and completely addictive flavor this week. The brand partnered with dietitian, trainer, and cookbook author Rachael DeVaux to launch a salted peanut butter cup cookie dough ($16), enhanced with Reishi and Ginseng to boost your daily mood and energy. A rich peanut butter base, studded with bits of peanuts and a generous ratio of dark chocolate chips? Are you still reading or did you already order a few jars to fulfill your fantasies of this aroma diffusing from your oven?

Vacation Drops Another Topical Getaway, $22

Credit: Vacation

I can’t stop writing about Vacation – mostly because they won’t stop launching new warm weather essentials, and I’m only doing my job. Drawing inspiration from years spent (regrettably) tanning with baby oil, the brand’s new SPF 30 Baby Oil ($22) is a sophisticated sunscreen oil that represents what Vacation does best: reimagining nostalgic favorites with modern suncare science. It’s got the same look, feel, shine, and fragrance of a classic baby oil, made with a beautiful blend of calendula, chamomile, Vitamin E, jojoba oil, rose, and jasmine. Prepare to be transported back to your teenage years of tanning, minus the sunburnt and peeling skin.

Reformation And Coach Battle For A Spot On Your Arm

Credit: Reformation

It’s not every week that two major brands introduce new handbag verticals. Reformation, not one to leave the party before it’s even started, decided that shoes, activewear, and aprés-ski weren’t enough. The label has officially expanded into handbags, which means you can now be outfitted head-to-toe in the brand known for nailing its own aesthetic to a scientific T. Each piece is, of course, made sustainably, and (also of course) looks like it was made in a laboratory. What I mean by that is: each piece strikes an eerily perfect balance between trendy and classic, with some pieces emulating The Row ($698), and others leaning more mini-bag-from-the-early-aughts ($248).

Speaking of sustainable things scientifically engineered to be both trendy and timeless…

Credit: Coachtopia

Meet: Coachtopia. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s a comically uncreatively named sub-brand from its parent label, Coach. But make no mistake: the lack of creativity stops here. Each item under the Coachtopia name is made with small and irregular scraps of leather from the cutting room floor, and features an embedded NFC chip that uses traceability technology to give you detailed information about the origin of your bag’s upcycled materials. And the brand is doing more than just technologically innovating. As a part of the label launch, Coach has recruited 120 creatives under the age of 26, from climate activists to art directors, to offer feedback on product sustainability and design. The result? A line of very sustainable, very shoppable arm candy (starting at $195). And every piece is nearly sold out – perhaps a motivating factor for more legacy brands to consider involving younger voices and eco-conscious practices in their design processes.

Quick Clicks

As the number of launches each week seems to exponentially increase, I’m realizing that this addendum is going to be a regular fixture. A few more drops you might consider perusing, while you’ve got your shopping tabs open:

Credit: COS and Simon Miller

COS’s SS23 collection – what I’m deeming “quiet luxury meets Amalfi coast” – is a coup. Every item feels like an essential component of an elevated wardrobe refresh, with the brand’s old reliable linens, structured chore jackets, and polished dresses reimagined for warmer climes. Don’t sleep on the accessories – like the Platonic ideal of a straw bucket hat (at a shockingly reasonable $69) or the label’s take on the ubiquitous Mary Jane ($135).

Simon Miller just relaunched its Casa collection, a sustainability project that repurposes excess production fabric into homewares, from tablecloths to towels to totes. For your Summer dinner party machinations, might I suggest a Napkin Set ($45) or some leather Coasters ($45)?

OLIPOP launched a new flavor that has me skipping spring and thinking of summer: Watermelon Lime ($35.99 per 12-pack). Best enjoyed outside.
