As the self-proclaimed Smoothie King of Los Angeles, I take my blenders very seriously. I would take my trusty Ninja Blender with me on a deserted island, even if that island couldn’t guarantee electricity.

Lately, my Instagram feed has been targeted by Beast Health ads boasting a swoon-worthy blender that might sway me to cheat on my old blender. As I eyed the aesthetically-pleasing blender and water infuser in 30-second videos, I wondered if it was good enough to replace my first love, The Ninja Blender.

When shopping for a blender, I’m looking for as many dishwasher-safe parts as possible. I actually should have mentioned I’m the self proclaimed lazy Smoothie King who loves to rinse and load smoothie vessels into the dishwasher as soon as I’m done sipping my daily fruit intake. Therefore, the dishwasher-safe materials should also be able to take a beating. Since I make smoothies everyday, I need a blender with containers that won’t look tarnished and old after just a few washes.

Compared to the $79.99 Ninja Blender and $99.99 NutriBullet, the Beast Blender is a bit more expensive at $155. Despite that price gap, loyal customers on Instagram are raving about the blender’s functionality, aesthetics and 1000-watt motor with supreme blending power.

The team at Beast Health were kind enough to send me their signature Beast Blender + Hydration System, and I had to find out for myself: Does it live up to the hype?

Unboxing The Internet’s Cutest Blender

When my Beast Blender + Hydration System arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that each product comes in recyclable packaging. With nothing but product drawings on the outside, I instantly got the feeling that this product has more substance than style. The blender comes in its own box, separate from the Hydration System and the 500mL Blending Vessel with Storage Lid. Each component also has its own  straightforward manual.

Honestly, I felt like I was drowning in so many parts and components at first, but I really came to appreciate the functionality and versatility of each piece. The 1000mL Blending Vessel is the same circumference as the 500mL, which means you can use the Drinking Lid with Carry Cap and The Storage Lid for each of the vessels interchangeably.

But once I lined up all the components on my countertop, I understood why this bestselling blender is getting rave reviews. The Beast Blender, with all of its components, is breathtakingly gorgeous. Impeccably designed to fit in any space, it made my lackluster kitchen look a little bit chicer.

A Smoothie At The Touch Of A Button

It’s smoothie time! I decided to make one of my favorites for hot days, derived from The Minimalist Baker’s original Carrot Ginger Turmeric Smoothie recipe. I threw a banana, frozen mangos, frozen pineapples, turmeric, carrot juice, oat milk and a squeeze of lime into the 1000mL Blending Vessel

For those who are worried about leaks, Beast uses a super-thick glass called Tritan that lasts forever and even engineered an extra-tight leakproof seal. The bottom of the Blending Vessels are also covered with TPE slip-resistant material, making them extra sturdy.

With some blenders, I get really intimidated by the many buttons at the base of the blender. I usually end up using one or two settings, max. The Beast Blender has one single button that makes life so much easier. Press it for one second to pulse, and press it for longer to blend for one minute straight.

The Taste Test

This smoothie recipe is one of my favorites because it’s a delicious way to stay hydrated in the California heat. The flavor of this smoothie was really intense! Sweeter and more turmeric-forward than usual, which is probably a testament to the super-sharp blades and the motor strength. The texture of this smoothie is creamy, silky and luxurious — everything you want from a smoothie and more.

The Ridiculously Easy Clean-Up

I’ll give the clean-up process a solid 10/10 because it was so. Ridiculously. Easy. My vision of rinsing vessels quickly and sticking them in the dishwasher was 100% fulfilled by this magical blender. The only thing that I had to clean by hand was the blade, which is not dishwasher safe. But if you run the blade under hot water right after you’re done blending, cleaning it is even easier.

Overall, the Beast Blender absolutely lives up to the hype. It’s a super-functional and aesthetically-pleasing addition to any kitchen, plus there are endless options of how to enjoy your smoothie because of the versatile lids that come with each set. I love my Ninja Blender, but I’m now officially Team BEAST.

5 More Reasons To Love The Beast Blender:

  • The Hydration System. Need another way to stay hydrated this summer? The Hydration System makes it really easy to infuse water with cucumbers, lemon and oranges for a yummy summertime twist.
  • The Leakproof Seal. Smoothie-making can make the most annoying messes when you’re working with a cheap, poorly-designed blender. With the Beast Blender, all those leaky woes are out the window.
  • The Minimal Blending Options. Two simple options: pulse or blend, in one push of a button. That’s all you really need.
  • The Dishwasher Compatibility. Quick and easy clean-up for almost all the components of the Beast Blender. The only thing you need to wash by hand is the blade.
  • 2-year limited warranty. They’ll replace any defective product or part within the next two years for free, though you’re responsible for shipping.

Take the Beast Blender for a spin... Your smoothies aren't going to blend themselves.
