There’s a certain kind of peace that comes from finishing a backyard setup – when the furniture is in, the cushions are fluffed, and everything finally looks like the Pinterest board you’ve been slowly pinning for years. But even as someone who lives and breathes brand storytelling, I didn’t expect to feel so strongly about two chairs. And yet…here we are.
Tupelo Goods was founded in 2018 by Sara Kenton and Chris Keller, two former YETI team members who brought rotational‑molding expertise from the cooler world into outdoor furniture with no assembly, zero maintenance, and heirloom durability at its heart. They set out to solve a problem they knew all too well: most outdoor furniture fades, warps, cracks, or just breaks after a season. Their belief? Furniture should endure real life and elevate the everyday – without demanding extra energy to maintain.
I recently received a pair of Tupelo Goods Loop Lounge Chairs, and let me just say – they may be the most practical and streamlined pieces of outdoor furniture I’ve ever owned.

Modern Outdoor Design, Minus the Fuss
Let’s talk first impressions: these chairs arrive fully assembled, which already makes them superior to 90% of outdoor furniture I’ve dealt with in the past. They’re sculptural but not too showy, and clean-lined with a modern feel, but still warm. Think: Palm Springs vibes meets real-life durability.
The finish is matte, not plastic-looking, and while they’re technically “armless,” the shape subtly curves to support your back in all the right ways. I wasn’t expecting them to be so comfortable. And what I think is the coolest fun fact: The material is UV-resistant, water-resistant, and shockingly easy to wipe down. No cushions, covers, or maintenance…yes please!

The Perfect Pair for Real Life
Right now, these chairs are living in my backyard. They’ve already survived hosted coffee dates, barefoot snack breaks, and one particularly splashy game of tag with my kids. But come the end of this month, I’ve decided they’re moving poolside – and I have zero doubts they’ll hold up.
What I love most about the design is their flexibility. They’re light enough to move solo, but substantial enough to stay put in a breeze. And because they’re low-profile and stackable, I could see us getting two more to keep on hand for larger gatherings. There’s even a matching side table, the Loop Table, that completes the look (and keeps my iced matcha from teetering on uneven grass).
Why I’d Recommend Them
If you’re tired of furniture that fades, cracks, or asks too much of you – Tupelo Goods gets it. These chairs were made for real families, real weather, and real messes… but without sacrificing design. They’re unfussy and modern in all the right ways, and they make being outside feel effortless.

Before We Lounge Off...
Outdoor furniture can be tricky – it has to be functional but beautiful, easy but elevated. Tupelo Goods nails that balance. These armless chairs have become my go-to for everything from morning journaling to after-dinner chats under the string lights.
It’s rare I fall in love with something so utilitarian, but maybe that’s the point. Good design doesn’t have to scream. Sometimes it just…fits.
