Gabrielle Dubois Meloff didn’t plan to start a Substack. The beginning “feels a bit like a blur,” but something she instinctively knew she was meant to do. Since launching in early 2025, Meloff’s platform has become a natural extension of her POV, where she writes about beauty, wellness, interiors, and the art of living more intentionally. “My presence there is pretty natural to who I am,” she explains, “It’s a bit more of a private, thoughtful corner of the internet, which I love.” 

Behind the slow mornings, Substack posts, and endless interior design inspirations, readers might be surprised to find out that Meloff is a full-time nurse. So as you can imagine, her day-to-day life can be pretty fast-paced and demanding. Writing and content creation is less of a side hustle and more of a necessary creative outlet to a more curated and considered way of living. 

This sense of intention carries into her long-term vision, too. Meloff is building something long-term with the goal of helping people “become more intentional with their lives, their routines, and what they choose to surround themselves with.”

It also defines how she shops. As a self-described “recovering shopaholic,” Meloff now approaches buying with a clear philosophy: “you should want what you need.” Her rule? Wait it out. Let items sit in your cart for a few weeks before committing. If you still want it then, they’re likely worth it. “Even the practical things in your life can feel beautiful, considered, and aligned with your taste,” she says, “At this point, everything I own is something I genuinely love.”
