Shopping in department stores during the holidays can feel like total chaos. So many brands, so many deals—it’s overwhelming, to say the least. Yet as the peak shopping season approaches, there are certain tried-and-true brands that I’m willing to risk it all for. You know, the brands you obsess over on Instagram, check their website like it’s a part-time job, and always look out for a sale? Well for me, this year that brand is without a doubt Rails.

Rails first drew me in with their perfectly relaxed, yet polished aesthetic that makes personal styling so effortless. Rather than spending an excess amount of time in my closet, trying on piece after piece, Rails clothing has this way of feeling effortlessly cool but never trying too hard. The kind of pieces that somehow work just as well for a Sunday coffee date as they do for a dinner out. But beyond the chic factor, what really made me a loyal fan was learning more about the heart of the brand.

Founded by Jeff Abrams—who was inspired to start Rails after traveling through Europe—Rails merges California ease with a touch of European sophistication. And over the years, they’ve evolved in the best ways, introducing an Eco Collection made from organic and recycled materials, partnering with WRAP-certified factories, and committing to sustainability in their offices too. It’s the kind of brand you love not just because the clothes are beautiful (they are), but because they’re thoughtful about how they’re made. For me, Rails is a forever favorite

If you’ve never tried them, or if you’re looking to add to your growing collection, this holiday season might just be the perfect time to start.

The Haul and The Fit

While I can peruse the Rails website for hours, the sensory experience of trying on clothes and feeling the richness of fabrics and textures is unbeatable. And Rails truly takes the cake when it comes to “what you see is what you get.” The quality and versatility of their clothing never ceases to amaze me. These are the kinds of pieces that you’ll reach for again and again—styles that never lose their shine.

This season, my standout pieces are:

Rails

The Adriana Skirt (Crimson Mini Check) paired with The Cheyenne Jacket (Crimson Mini Check)

When it comes to statement outerwear and trend-forward pieces, the Adriana pleated skirt is a standout. Available in three gorgeous colors, it’s the same skirt Taylor Swift made iconic at a Chiefs game—naturally, I had to try it. I paired it with the Cheyenne Jacket ($298) for a co-ord set that feels effortlessly put together. The jacket itself is a total winner. I’ve already worn it four times this week! It’s versatile, super comfy, lightweight, yet still warm enough for cooler days. Like the true Virgo in me, I can never resist a chic matching moment—and this one did not disappoint!

This dynamic duo is lightweight and perfect for a date night. The cardigan adds a polished touch, while the jeans ($218) bring a fun, funky vibe with their standout patchwork detail. I find the relaxed fit of the jeans incredibly comfortable and on par with the Cheyenne Jacket, I’ve already reached for them five times this week. Together, the look feels high-fashion yet totally wearable, with the patchwork on the pants giving the outfit an elevated edge.

The Trea Top and The Rowan Pant ($198) are perfectly polished for those of us that jump from 9 to 5’s to our 5 to 9’s. It’s ideal for professional settings, yet somehow comfy enough for lounging too. The all-day ease makes it an easy closet go-to.

Did someone say vacation, or was it just me? (It was probably just me!) Rails’ Blythe Top and Henrik Pant ($178) in White are the ultimate getaway uniform. Not only are they an absolute dream to look at, but the airy and flowy feel is perfect for travel. Sometimes with white clothing I’m terrified of the fabric being see-through, but don’t worry, Rails has you covered here — literally.

The Sanya Dress in Scarlet is the ultimate "girl-in-red-dress" moment. With a bold red like this, it’s impossible not to feel like an ‘it girl’ or the party host who can do it all. Silky and elevated with patchworked textures, this dress is a showstopping piece that’s effortlessly perfect for the holidays.

Deanna skirt

The only regret I have here is not getting this skirt sooner. I recently went with my girlfriends to see Usher and couldn’t help but wish I’d had it on me. This pleather skirt is perfect for girls' night or date night, pairing beautifully with high boots for a chic, effortless look. The wrap belt adds a playful touch to the silhouette — definitely a new wardrobe staple!
