What’s On Melanie Masarin’s Birthday Registry?

Full disclosure: I just got this! I’ve wanted a tennis necklace for so long, and I love that Dorsey’s stones are lab-grown sapphires and not mined: that’s way more sustainable for both humans and the environment! And the price tag is also a lot more approachable. The necklace is so shiny and I’ve gotten non-stop compliments about it. I might just have to layer a second one on for maximum effect.

It’s no secret at this point that High Sport pants are the best everyday pants. I was lucky enough to snag a couple of pairs on resale platforms over the past few years, but I’ve had eyes on the purple ones ever since their first collection came out. They recently relaunched a lilac color exclusively on Net-a-Porter and they’re at the top of my wishlist. I wear mine so much that the cost per wear makes it totally worth it. They’re washable and flattering, great for traveling, going to work, and can easily be dressed up with a blazer or a fun heel like these. They’re also super flattering!

Princess sunglasses to wear everyday? Absolutely yes! I love how EXTRA these Loewe glasses are and how fun they can make even a neutral look. The shape and the sparkles read very birthday to me. Wouldn’t you agree? 

Maybe 33 is the year that I become interested in desk accessories. I have many friends getting married around me and I’ve been writing handwritten thank you’s and well wishes. I recently stumbled upon Alissa Bell’s website and look at how beautiful the colors and fonts are!

Maybe this is the year that I figure out how to have smooth hair! I’m someone who prefers to wash their hair and run out the door but a few of my friends and of course everyone on TikTok have been raving about how easy it is to have smooth locks with the Airwrap. So, while this is nothing new I believe that it deserves a spot on my objects of desire list.

I feel like the next trend after sheer flats are shiny flats. Loeffler Randall and Mansur Graviel both have beautiful ballet slippers with a slightly higher cut. They look like home shoes but they’re safe to protect your tippy toes outside. I’m very into the lemony yellow for summer.

Good hair clips. Enough said! These will likely be this season’s most used accessories until I inevitably lose or break them and move on to the next ones.

I am on my 4th bottle of this magical serum which gets rid of acne and works magic for preventing fine lines and wrinkles. I wake up with paper-like skin every morning after using it and I’d like to sign up for another year of good skin!

How chic are these packing cubes? I take several flights a month so I make good use of travel accessories. I find these so chic and you can even monogram them for someone you love.

I can never have too many art and design books, and right now I really want the Nicolas Party book. He’s my favorite living artist and I hope to own one of his incredible paintings one day (a girl can dream!). In the meantime, I can have this book. Another book that I’ve seen recently is this beautiful David Hockney book which is really big and would probably take over my entire coffee table. 

One of the many things I’m working on getting better at as I get older is drinking less coffee so I can manage my energy levels better. My friend Rocky makes the very best matcha and he just sent me a tin for my birthday. They keep selling out so I’m using this one sparingly, it’s precious.

Guest In Residence really brings out the colorful fun for everyday. This one fills the hole in my heart for chartreuse and chocolate colored everything. It looks cozy and cute but still casual, and how fun would it look with my future new High Sport pants? ;)
