I recently wrote about the incredible couch I invested in three years ago. It wasn’t cheap, but that was the point – when a product is thoughtfully made of quality materials, it’ll wear well and last a long time. There’s a difference, I’ve learned, between price and value.
A lot of products are cheap and don’t last; some are expensive and rarely used; but my favorite type to invest in are the ones – like sheets, tableware, and sweaters – I know I’ll use, wear, wash, and love repeatedly. They’re worth paying a little bit more for, and they become foundational to my personal brand.
All of this is to say, what my 7th Avenue couch is to my living room, my Frank & Eileen staples are to my wardrobe. Incredible investment pieces that I wear constantly, they hold up, and make me feel great, every time.

Designed by an Engineer
I was impressed to learn that Frank & Eileen founder Audrey McLoghlin is a former engineer, but not entirely surprised. I’ve been wearing their basics (this linen set in particular) for years at this point, and there is a science-like precision to the fit and materials used in these pieces.
The brand’s button downs and linen pants have essentially ruined other options for me. I actually bought a cheaper version from a popular cut-out-the-middle-man brand around the same time I snagged my original F&E linen set, and it crinkled and frayed almost immediately. I donated it years ago, while my Frank & Eileen set has stayed in my regular rotation.
To achieve this level of perfection, Frank & Eileen follows its core principles strictly. The brand’s iconic, fan-favorite Eileen Button-Up is made of best-in-class Italian Brushed Cotton (100% cotton), woven in Italy; their 100% cotton sweaters are spun in Egypt, dyed, twisted, and treated in Italy, and crafted into garments in Portugal; their California Heritage Collection is made by California-based artisans. In short, Frank & Eileen partners with the best, most sustainable makers around the world to ensure that their garments are ethically-made, B Corp-certified, and ultra-comfortable. The impact of that commitment is tangible.
I recently had the opportunity to add a few new Frank & Eileen pieces to my wardrobe ahead of fall, and I’m confident I will be wearing them all season – and for season after season to come. Below: my hit list – an amalgamation of the favorites I’ve been wearing for years, new essentials that have already wowed me, and a few additional picks I have my eyes on as the temps continue to drop.
My Frank & Eileen Favorites
The Linen Set That Started It All:
Amongst my friends, I am a known linen lover. I am willing to invest a pretty penny in a great pair of linen pants (or sheets, for that matter) because when it comes to the material, quality makes a huge difference.
This set is the perfect weight and construction – well-made and warm, but not too thick. Made from European flax that’s produced in Mauritius, every step – from dyeing to pre-treatment, weaving, sewing, and finishing – is overseen by a best-in-the-business partner.
While many lesser linen pants get crumpled or weirdly cling after being washed, these maintain their structure for a laidback, but still-elegant vibe.

My Most-Worn Everyday Staple:
As soon as I detect even the slightest chill in the air, I am ready to sport a Canadian tuxedo. Controversial to some, it is quintessential – and aspirational – fall to me. I love a monochromatic moment, and denim on denim is the highest form.
This button-up is sheer perfection. Hand-finished by artisans in California, it grows softer with every wash, and its cut – longer in the front and back, shorter on the sides – is chef’s kiss. This top is the easiest way I’ve found to instantly transform into the woman I want to be. Pair it with the Brennan Barrel Jean and thank me later.

The Flannel That Gives ‘Flannel’ New Meaning:
Take any association you have with flannel and throw it out the door. This is flannel. Buttery soft and perfectly lightweight, this button up was designed for daily wear.
It’s made with cotton sourced from the U.S., spun and dyed in Egypt, woven into fabric in Italy, then cut, sewn, and finished in Mexico. Rest assured: Frank & Eileen does not cut a single corner!

Your Newest Sweater Weather Essential:
While I don’t personally own this one, my mom has several Frank & Eileen sweaters, so I can attest to its flawlessness. Over the years, I have become headachily picky when it comes to sweaters: their materials matter, their weight and stitching matters – and don’t even get me started on cut.
This one earns top marks in every category. It just looks good – simple as that. The cotton – spun in Egypt, treated in Italy, and crafted in Portugal – is thick, rich, and sturdy. The cut is perfect with leggings or jeans, sneakers or boots. It’s one of those pieces you can take on a trip and wear every day, for any occasion – a true workhorse piece with an effortless vibe.

The Jeans You’ve Been Looking For:
We recently asked a stylist if denim is actually worth paying for, and she said it’s all in the fit and materials. While there are plenty of great cheaper pairs, a solid fit and quality-made fabric is worth paying for. Such is the case for F&E’s Brennan Barrel Jean, a pair made to mold to your body over time that’s regularly sold out.
These are a perfect day-to-night pair that will likely render your multitude of other pairs obsolete. I’m of the opinion that one great pair > multiple lesser, so when you run the numbers, these become an incredible investment. If they’re in stock, snag them – quickly – and thank me later.

In Closing
My mom and I are both fans of the brand, and it’s for the same reason: we feel really great wearing these pieces. They’re easy to sport and style, but offer an elevated, she’s-put-together energy that so many women are seeking.
Grab a piece or two to see for yourself, and I guarantee you’ll be back for more. The good news is you’ll be able to style these timeless, well-crafted pieces for years and years to come.
