By the time this publishes, the hottest fashion collaboration of the year may very well have already sold out – and it launched this morning. Gap and Sandy Liang have launched a capsule collection designed by Liang, one of New York’s most in-demand designers. Sandy Liang’s past major collaborations have been unqualified hits, lending other brands aesthetic invigoration and an instant stamp of approval from the fashion set: Her Salomon collab cemented the sneaker brand as the “it” sneaker of the 2020s. Her Baggu collab turned a workhorse brand into a must-have status symbol.
From the promotional images released with the collaboration announcement, Sandy Liang has brought her signature playful femininity to the line. Bows adorn trench coats and jeans pockets. Wide, fuzzy Peter Pan collars top boxy denim jackets. The collection feels fashionable but approachable, and will surely benefit both brands: Sandy gaining a vastly wider platform via Gap’s sprawling customer base, and Gap gaining some much-needed caché. Gap really couldn’t have chosen a better partner as they attempt to make the brand competitive with the likes of Uniqlo, whose JW Anderson and Marni collaborations have been immensely successful.
As Gap starts a new chapter under Zac Posen, I’m excited for whatever other savvy partnerships they have up their sleeve, though this coquette-chic collaboration with Sandy will be tough to beat. And now, on to the rest of this week’s notable launches:

First Up: A New It Bag?

Luxury handbag brand Cuyana launched their new Dia Bag, which had over 2,000 people on its waitlist pre-launch. The slouchy, ruched bag has already been spotted on Olivia Munn. I’ve been seeing Cuyana’s System Zipper Tote everywhere this year – they may have another hit on their hands.
Trending: Pumpkin Spice Season Alternatives

Call me crazy, but pumpkin spice just doesn’t do it for me. When I want a cozy autumnal drink full of warm spices, I tend to reach for chai instead. Diaspora + East Fork Pottery have launched their Diaspora Spice Co. x East Fork Chai Essentials kit. The limited edition set includes Diaspora Co.’s Masala Chai Blend, Madhur Jaggery, a stainless steel strainer, and a Kulhad (ceramic cup) from East Fork Pottery. A perfect gift for chai lovers (and pumpkin spice doubters) this fall.
Matchaful has teamed up with Samah Dada, the New York-based chef, television personality, and bestselling cookbook author behind @DadaEats to feature two of her date-forward better for you sweet treats on the Matchaful menu. The limited edition fall treat menu features Peanut Caramel Stuffed Dates and a GF Date Caramel Cookie Cake.
Trending: Wicked Collabs

The Wicked sequel tie-ins have landed: Award-winning gourmet chocolate brand Compartés unveiled a limited-edition collection in celebration of the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good. The first release of the limited-edition Compartés x Wicked collection includes six chocolate bars and an Advent Calendar, each inspired by the world of Wicked - with more limited-edition creations to come ahead of the film’s November premiere.
But that’s just the first of over 50 official product launches tied to the epic PR campaign for the film. Even Le Creuset is getting in on the action: they’ve launched two limited edition Wicked x Le Creuset signature dutch ovens – in pink and green, of course.
Before You Go…

- Sustainable kitchen goods brand Stasher has launched a new line of Swedish Dishcloths. The reusable paper towel alternatives signal the brand’s foray outside of single-use plastic alternatives to replace all types of single-use waste with durable, reusable and sustainable alternatives.
- Cosabella launched their latest lingerie collection, Encantata. Inspired by the rich contrasts of Venice, the collection blends high-shine floral embroidery with matte geometric lace.
- Scotch & Soda launched their "Let It Rain" Collection, celebrating 750 years of Amsterdam. A highlight of the collection includes water resistant trench coats and water resistant denim styles.
