Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. I’ll be real with you: this week is a light one! While there aren’t many newsworthy launches, the ones we’re stopping to shop are holding it down. Whether you’re in the market for an apron to drape upon your bottle of champagne come Valentine’s Day, or something more useful but still just as unusual, like a vinegar made with organic California persimmons, this week’s debrief has everything you need (or needlessly want).

Brightland Writes Yet Another Love Letter To California Produce, $25

Credit: Brightland

On Wednesday, DTC darling Brightland debuted its latest stroke of produce-oriented genius: FOLKLORE, a delightfully tart persimmon vinegar made in partnership with White Buffalo Land Trust, a non-profit based in Summerland that’s working to expand regenerative land stewardship and agriculture.

Persimmons are deep rooted perennials that not only draw carbon from the atmosphere into the soil, but also possess medicinal and culinary uses when infused into a vinegar (similar to their less exciting but better publicized relative, apple cider vinegar). And these persimmons were given the royal treatment, beginning with a two-step fermentation process and aged in stainless steel for one year prior to bottling. So yes, the organic California-grown Hachiya and Fuyu persimmons infused in FOLKLORE will level up your tonics, dressings, marinades, and quick pickles, while also doing tangible good for the planet. And your body. And your seasonal depression, if you don’t live in California and need a vinegar elixir that’s bursting with sunshine. And if you haven’t bought a bottle before the conclusion of this paragraph, you’d be wise to buy two – assuming it hasn’t already sold out.

Gohar World: For Your Dreamy Valentine Who Throws A Killer Dinner Party, prices vary

Credit: Gohar World

Gohar World’s new Valentine’s Day collection is teeming with frivolous dining table accessories I didn’t know I absolutely needed until I laid eyes on them via the brand’s downright seductive e-commerce platform. Might you be in the market for a Lace Tissue Box Cover ($58), Bobbin Lace Bottle Apron ($25), or a set of Mother of Pearl Spoons ($88) that are essential for your dietary staples, like caviar and ice cream? Or perhaps something more standard, like milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts wrapped in gold foil? Sorry to implant a sudden desire for beautiful and perfect items in your brain. I’m just doing my job!

Ghia And Craig’s Satisfy Your Cravings With One Super-Sweet Set, $87

Credit: Ghia

Ghia, the maker of TQE’s absolute favorite non-alcoholic aperitif (and lest we forget, an addictive hazelnut spread) just launched a very sweet collaboration with Los Angeles-based vegan ice creamery Craig’s. The Pretty Sweet Set ($87) includes two jars of the aforementioned addictive Ghianduja, one fabulous stemless martini glass made with artist Sophie Lou Jacobsen, and a code to redeem five full-size pints of Craig’s Vegan ice cream. Each set features a complimentary handwritten gift note, if you’ve got any ideas about spoiling someone you love. You’ll need to act fast on this one: there are only 100 sets available, and it’s bad luck not to enjoy ice cream and a spritz on Valentine’s Day. (I made the latter statement up, but how would you fact-check me?)

BREDA And DALMATA Innovate On The Concept Of A Watch, $150

Credit: BREDA

Contemporary watch label BREDA collaborated with jewelry label DALMATA this week – two brands committed to caps-lock inevitably must join forces – to launch the Time Ring ($150), a sleek stainless steel square ring to keep time intimately, just below your knuckle. With a soft-edged, crystal-covered bezel square frame, the Time Ring is, surprisingly, more timeless than it is trendy, whether you lean silver or gold. I’m impressed.

Soom Spins Sesame Seeds Into Sweet Treats, from $5.49

Credit: Soom Foods

Tahini is the hottest girl in the game right now. Whether you’re spooning it via Sunny’s delicious dip or bulk-buying the inimitable Tahini Tangerine chocolate from Honey Mama’s, sesame seeds are the moment. So when THE tahini brand du jour, Soom, reached out with news of a sweet snack launch…my interest was piqued. Soom’s new Tahini Bites are the brand’s first launch outside of its flavored and pure tahinis, fueled by three of my favorite ingredients: dates, oats, and tahini. Available in Cherry Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Brownie, and Pumpkin Spice, the new Bites are gluten-free, vegan, low in refined sugar, and the ideal snack for your 3 PM slump.

Happy shopping. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
