Launch Digest: Earth Day Sponsored By Seaweed, Avocados, And Yes, More Collaborations

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the web’s best products. If you purchase through our links, we may receive a commission. Our editorial team is independent and only endorses products we believe in.

Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. Today is Earth Day. While there’s no shortage of launches and collaborations encouraging us to celebrate our planet (more on that below), perhaps the greatest way to celebrate the Earth this weekend is to log off, get outside, and minimize your environmental impact. After perusing these drops, of course.

Bearaby Proves That Wellness And Sustainability Are A Match Made In Heaven (And Your Living Room), from $29

Credit: Bearaby

Bearaby, our favorite brand for weighted blankets that feel like a hug and look like a dream, takes its first step beyond the blanket category with the release of its Hugget Collection today (from $29). Introducing three gorgeous and planet-friendly weighted sensory knot pillows, the Hugget Collection is crafted from the brand’s innovative Melofoam, a breathable and biodegradable all-natural rubber derived from sap in Sri Lanka and gently steamed to form solid foam. Appropo to the Earth Day launch, the entire production process is zero-waste. Featuring a chunky knit form, these stress-relieving pillows ease tension and activate the senses. Shop five beautiful colorways and upgrade your at-home landscape from the inside out.

Eyes On: Seaweed, $44

I’m always intrigued by brands and launches that promise to optimize or revolutionize our health. Most often, I’m – I might argue rightfully – skeptical. With a new adaptogenic or nootropic supercharged shot, pill, or beverage cropping up weekly, it’s challenging to respond with anything but an eyeroll.

When I learned about Rootless, a once-daily nutrition bite based on the potent health benefits of seaweed (yes, you’re reading that correctly), I was hooked. I’ve been a seaweed proselytizer for years. One of Earth’s most nutrient-dense foods, seaweed is packed with essential vitamins and minerals, and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It’s also a rich source of iodine, omega-3 fatty acids, and phytonutrients that protect our bodies against stress and illness. Rootless has created daily bites that combine seaweed with dates, almonds, and seeds to nourish you daily (without adding another pill to your routine). With flavors like Orange Pistachio, Coconut Chai, and Double Strawberry, Rootless is embracing food as medicine. Try the Starter Kit ($44) to sea(weed) for yourself. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

west~bourne Continues To Elevate Zero-Waste Pantry Essentials – This Time, With Avocados, $80

Credit: west~bourne

west~bourne, the pantry essentials brand created by plant-based chef and restaurateur Camilla Marcus, just launched its waste-free and carbon-neutral Avocado Oil Set ($80). And yes, it’s stunning – as much a piece of decor for your kitchen counter as it is an essential upgrade for your at-home culinary game. Grown and pressed at the source on an organic orchard in Mexico, these Avocado Oils are a reflection of west~bourne’s dedication to climate-positive provisions that make the most minimal footprint possible. Whether you’re cooking with the Refined Avocado Oil ($40) or finishing with the Extra Virgin Organic ($45), feel good knowing you’re nourishing your body and protecting the planet.

It’s Earth Day – And Our Favorite DTC Brands Will Make Sure You’re Aware Of It

It wouldn’t be a holiday without ample DTC fanfare. In celebration of Earth Day, many of our favorite brands are dropping limited-edition collaborations and collections to celebrate the Earth (and accordingly turn the focus towards sustainability):

Credit: FIND ME NOW and Mon Coeur

Earth Day fit, sorted: Mother-daughter owned FIND ME NOW, a playful and effortlessly wearable NYC-based contemporary clothing label, launched an Earth Day t-shirt ($59) in collaboration with artist @bekindbella earlier this week. 100% of profits from the limited launch are being donated to GrowNYC, a local organization dedicated to environmental programs that secure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.

For eco-conscious babies: Parent-favorite DTC diaper brand Coterie and sustainable childrenswear brand Mon Coeur linked up to launch the Spring Ahead Bundle ($65) in celebration of Earth Month. The bundle includes a two-week supply of Coterie diapers and wipes, along with a bright Sun Bodysuit and eco-stickers. This will only last until the end of April, so snag it while you can.

RE/DONE Re/Purposes: Instead of generating more waste with new product drops, RE/DONE has launched its Marketplace Spring Edit, featuring low-impact, high concept vintage classics and collectibles. Whether you’re searching for deadstock Levi’s or a rare (and dripped-out) Cartier lighter from the 70s, this is the (online) place to be. Recycling is incredibly sexy.

Streetwear, but make it not wasteful: This isn’t a limited-edition launch, but I’ve got my eyes eagerly fixed on NotSoNormal, the brainchild of Yeezy and Harley Davidson alumni Alfred Settimio. Resisting the wasteful culture of streetwear drops (and failed brands), Settimio’s new line of upcycled and hand-dyed 501s and sweatshirts is available at LN-CC, and it’s really good.

I’ll be back next week with a new set of launches in the DTC universe. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
