I’ll admit it: the holiday season tends to really stress me out. Travel, awkward family dinners, and an endless parade of cookies and cocktails threatening to derail my wellness streak — and that’s before I even start thinking about gifts.
Turns out, I’m not alone. According to the American Psychological Association, nearly nine in ten adults feel overwhelmed during the holidays. All of this got our team thinking, what if TQE could help make this season feel a little lighter?
Back in 2022, our then–six-person team launched The Best Gifts, Period. The goal was simple: create one best-in-class guide so solid, we wouldn’t need to publish anything else. Of course, we couldn’t help ourselves — each year, we expanded on that anchor guide with niche roundups and extra coverage.
This year, we’ve come full circle. I’m so proud to present the fourth edition of The Best Gifts, Period — our most thoughtful, edited, and intentional yet.
Here’s what you can expect: one tried-and-true Best Gifts, Period (below), a BFCM roundup focused on taste and value (launching mid-November), and a brand-new Gifting Concierge on Instagram, where you can DM us details about your giftee and we’ll send back hand-curated human generated picks (available mid November through early December). TQE’s editors are behind the scenes of all of it, tying virtual bows onto everything you’ll see rolling out over the next few weeks!
And this year, your holiday shopping can drive real impact. As part of our ongoing partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we’re donating a portion of all affiliate revenue from purchases across the site, including every item in our gift guides, to support their mission of helping young people reach their full potential.
Simply put: our goal is to help you shop confidently, quickly, and with a little more calm this year. Once your lists are checked off, we hope you can get back to appreciating the beauty and bounty of the season — whatever that means for you.
From all of us at The Quality Edit, happy holidays.
Warmly,
Scott Silver
