There are certain beauty products I see on every influencer’s shelf, items mentioned so often and so breathlessly as a holy grail life-changer that I can’t help questioning the hype. Saie’s Dew Blush has become a staple of beauty content creators, its bright colors and iconic packaging gracing influential makeup bags and GRWM’s over and over again. Cue my doubter/contrarian streak: how could one product win over so many of the internet’s pickiest beauty editors & most discerning beauty influencers?
For once, I’m so glad my contrarian impulses led me to test a new product. I first tried Saie’s blush several months ago, and was immediately impressed by the product’s wide-ranging array of shades and its blendable consistency. Over the next few months, I found the other blushes in my usual rotation sitting in the back of my vanity collecting dust. Now, like many a TikTok beauty influencer before me, Saie has won a permanent place on my makeup shelf. With their recent, much-anticipated launch of 3 new Dew Blush shades (along with 3 new matching Glossybounce colors), I decided to officially put Saie’s viral Dew Blush to the test.

Finding Your Shade

Saie has a very handy Shade Finder feature on their website to help identify which of their products will be the best match for your natural complexion. They ask you to choose from around 36 skin tones with helpful corresponding model photos – a super helpful feature when shopping for beauty products online – as well as your undertone. Then they quiz you on your coverage preferences before creating a custom set of products to compliment your complexion and makeup preferences. I appreciate that they have such a specific set of questions along with helpful reference photos at every step, preventing me from spinning out over whether my undertones suit gold or silver jewelry better, or if I identify as “peach” or “cool.” I could just reference the photos to find a model with my complexion! For my fair skin with cool undertones, they recommended Dew Blush in the new shade “Lady.”
New Summer Colors
Per their instructions, I used the doe foot applicator to put 2 small dots of blush on each cheek and blended with my fingertips. A tiny bit of product goes a long way – even 1 dot of product is enough to give you a naturally flushed look. The applicator luckily allowed me to easily control how much product I used. I loved Saie’s recommended shade immediately – Lady is a pretty, pinkish mauve, noticeable without being too bubblegum. The shade also blended really well with my everyday tinted SPF & contour.

Saie’s Dew Blushes are designed to be stacked, either by applying one or two washes of the same color to precisely build color, or by layering a couple different shades. I wanted a more noticeable flush to match some hot pink accents in a going out look, so I layered a tiny dot of the Dew Blush in the new shade Flirty at the center of the area on my cheek where I’d already blended out a layer of Lady. For a second I was scared that Flirty’s bright, watermelon pink shade would be too much, but I used it sparingly and it blended in nicely, adding just the right amount of oomph to my look.

If I’d been going for more of a papaya look, the new shade Hottie would’ve been a great option – though maybe a little strange blended with the mauve-toned Lady. Each Saie product page shows models with a variety of skin tones so you can get a sense of how it would look on you.

Matchy Matchy – Coordinate with a Lip Gloss
Saie takes a very holistic approach to how they design their products to work together, identifying the perfect complementary shade for each step of your makeup routine so that your overall look feels cohesive. They recommended using their Glossybounce lip gloss oil in Bubble to match the Dew Blush in Lady, and they were spot on. Using the two together gave me a really nice monochromatic look. They also have a bunch of shimmery shades if you prefer that look, though Glossybounce’s high gloss finish meant that I didn’t really feel the need to add any shimmer to the gloss itself. I usually don’t like lip gloss – too tacky/sticky – but Glossybounce has the shine of lip gloss with the smooth feel of a lip oil.

My Honest Review: I’m All In On This It Girl Favorite
A few months into using Saie Dew Blush, I’m a total convert. I love the product’s creamy consistency, buildable color, and variety of shades. The extremely reasonable price point ($25) for such a high quality product means that I’ve now got a whole little collection of Dew Blushes in different shades that I mix and match daily. On lazy days, I put on some tinted SPF and some Dew Blush and call it a day. When I do a full face of makeup, the Dew Blush’s buildable color blends really nicely with all my other products, including Saie’s coordinating Glossybounce lip gloss oil. My one caution would be to be very careful in how much Dew Blue you use – especially if you’re prone to blush blindness or are applying in a setting with low light. Dew Blush is very highly pigmented, so believe me when I say a little goes a long way. I found that Dew Blush blended best on my skin using a makeup brush – I’ve taken to carrying the versatile Saie Double Brush ($30) in my makeup bag for touch ups.
Final Results
Saie Dew Blush is the perfect product for you if you prefer cream/gel consistency in your blush products. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to control how much product you apply, and the blush works particularly well when blended out using a makeup brush like the Saie Double Brush ($30). They have an impressively wide array of colors to compliment a variety of skin tones. And the affordable price point means that it’s possible to invest in a couple colors to layer depending on the look you’re going for. Simply put, Saie Dew Blush is an instant classic for a reason.
