Over the years, I’ve seemingly tried just about everything – no-phone rules, teas and gummies, reading, eye masks, white noise, the list goes on – to fall asleep more easily. Unfortunately, no matter how disciplined I was, I still felt wired at night and sluggish in the morning.
It wasn’t until I learned how big of a role my home lighting was playing that everything clicked. Yes, blue light is a problem – but so are green and violet wavelengths (I didn’t even know those existed). Once I understood that my brain was basically stuck in “daytime mode,” I finally fixed the real issue. Here’s what I learned…and the one habit that actually works (spoiler: it’s these TrueDark Twilights glasses).
