BRB, I Can’t Stop Watching Shailene Woodley’s New Show Three Women On STARZ

You know how the TV adaptation pretty much never lives up to the book? I was a firm believer that the book is always better – and then I started Three Women on STARZ. It’s based on the book Three Women by Lisa Taddeo, which is based on the very juicy and also true stories of three women over eight years. Its cast includes Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise, and Gabrielle Creevy, and it’s good – like, can’t-stop-watching good. The finale airs on November 15 so you’ve got time to catch up. I bet it won’t take you long – here’s why you’ll love it…

It’s Got Female Desire

Three Women follows three women’s emotional and sexual relationships – and to call them juicy is an understatement. The show follows a writer, Gia (Shailene Woodley) as she collects stories from ordinary women about desire. Along the way she meets: Lina, a housewife whose husband no longer wants to be intimate (so she starts to have an affair); Sloane, a powerful restaurant owner who opens up her marriage; and Maggie, a student who alleges to have a relationship with her high school teacher. See what I mean?

Best-Selling Book To TV Adaptation

Like I mentioned, this plot won the hearts of so many women as a book – and it’s doing the same thing as a show! Even if their personal tales aren’t relatable to you, the lessons these women share absolutely are – it’s a book I know I’ll revisit over the years. And the casting is simply *chef’s kiss.*

A Star-Studded Female Cast

It’s so fun to see ordinary women’s stories shared on screen, and the cast truly takes things to the next level. Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise, and Gabrielle Creevy are incredible in this show – so much so, I bet you can’t just watch one episode
