Every Mother’s Day, the same ritual plays out – and the numbers prove it. In recent years, U.S. consumers have spent over $3.2 billion on flowers alone, with nearly three-quarters (74%) of shoppers choosing blooms as their go-to gift, according to the National Retail Federation.
Flowers, in any form, are one of the most sincere ways to say “I love you.” But within just days, or maybe a week if you’re lucky, petals lose their shape, stems hunch over, and the vase water turns swamp-like. It’s sad how something that felt so special is so short-lived.
That’s what pushed me to find something with the same spirit – but more longevity for mom. I landed on Venus et Fleur’s Eternity® Flowers for their real blooms that hold up well beyond the first few weeks, months, and in some cases, years. Here’s what stood out:

They’re backkkk – Venus et Fleur’s Eternity® Gardenias are officially the spring stars. And within a Mother’s Day lineup, this base selection will fit right in. The combination of roses and hydrangeas add a gorgeous extra layer of texture, while the Delft Jardin Bleu base immediately catches your eye. It’s very polished and will be a showstopper in your household.
If you’re looking for an even larger upgrade moment, Venus et Fleur is also offering a limited-edition Porcelain Amphora Vase in that same custom Delft Jardin Bleu glaze.
Best for: The mom figure who notices the details – and expects her flowers to match.

This arrangement is grand and refined, almost architectural. I’m obsessed with how the porcelain vase has a sleek, hotel-in-Paris aesthetic. It’s tall with clean lines, and perfectly holds the preserved roses up. I’ve had these roses for three months already, and they’re still perfectly intact – completely unfazed.
No shift in shape, no loss of color. And the vase has officially become a permanent fixture on my bedroom side table. Although, I’m probably going to move it to the main dining table soon, because it really deserves a main character moment.
Best for: The glam mom figure who prefers a luxury European hotel over a beach resort (and roses that match).

This one leans softer and romantic.
Paired with white or blush roses, the arrangement reads delicate and luminous. I’d recommend the white classic base here. It instantly brightens up a space and keeps the whole look feeling fresh.
It’s funny, hearts are usually reserved for Valentine’s Day, but here, it adds such a sweet, unexpected touch for Mother’s Day. I definitely think it's less cliché, and more thoughtful.
Best for: The mom figure who lives in a pastel palette, has Bridgerton on Netflix rotation, and romanticizes the little things in life.
Note: The Parisian Boiserie material is no longer available.

There’s something special about hydrangeas. Hydrangeas have often been treated as a filler flower, but they deserve to take the lead every now and then. Hydrangea bouquets always feel full, but simultaneously more relaxed than roses. Plus, the natural texture and tone of the travertine vase make it easy to style across home spaces without much effort.
And for the moms who have never been rose people, this is a strong alternative. If you know hydrangeas, you know they can be high-maintenance, but this takes that out of the equation. I will say, this arrangement tends to sell through quickly, so it’s worth checking up on restocks frequently.
Best for: The mom figure who loves botany with a natural, organic aesthetic.

If roses are non-negotiable and florals are the centerpiece of their home, this arrangement delivers. Twenty-four preserved roses create a full, dramatic display that immediately attracts attention.
This is for the mom-figure who loves walking into a room and making a statement. She’s glam and refined, maybe a martini is her choice of drink. Or maybe you opt for this upgrade because you simply want to pop in an extra twelve symbols of “I love you.” Either way, the impact is undeniable.
Best for: The larger-than-life mom figure – whether she’s channeling Miranda Priestly, Kris Jenner, or just has a taste for the grander things.

A Mother’s Day Gesture, Upgraded
Venus et Fleur is shifting the way I think about gifting, especially for Mother’s Day. These are florals I’ve had in my space for months now, and I still can’t get over the magic they possess. The general price range ($169 to $799+) reflects the fresh-to-preserved upgrade. And while, yes, the investment is more upfront, it pays off in how long the blooms last. I’ve had them for myself and gifted them as well, and every time, they deliver thoughtfully and very memorable.
I already know I’m gifting my mom a set of Eternity® Roses this year – and I also know she’s going to tell everyone in her life about them time and time again. Favorite daughter status: pending.
One thing I will say: if you have your eye on a specific style, order ahead. The best-sellers tend to sell out quickly around Mother’s Day, and it’s worth getting exactly what you want.
