As the sun starts to shine bright, Miami Swim Week brought a fresh wave of swimwear trends to the forefront. After all, summer is the perfect chance to shake up your vacation style and try something new. This season, the 21st annual edition of PARAISO Miami Swim Week ushered in a plethora of fresh ideas to dip into—not to mention, exciting moments where stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Bethenny Frankel graced us with their runway presence. From the allure of peek-a-boo skin to playful takes on nostaglia, the summer 2025 swim trends bring a much-needed sunkissed jolt.
As we watched brands like Salty Mermaid, Luli Fama, Monday Swimwear, and Shan reveal their summer 2025 and cruise 2026 collection, one thing was clear: there really is no shortage of trends this season. Ahead, discover the top five swimwear trends spotted straight from the runways of Miami Swim Week.
Trend 1: Polka Dots
We’re loving the playful touch polka dots are bringing to summer 2025. With brands like Cupshe and Montce leading the way, the retro-inspired print was seen on bright hues and soft pastels. You’ll also see this jovial print displayed in apparel trends as well, in case you want to double up.

Trend 2: Shorts-and-Skirt Sets
Second on our radar: the renaissance of the short and skirt set. For a minimalist take, we loved Monday Swimwear and Montce, while Leslie Amon leaned into a modern twist on the nostalgic ‘50s and ‘60s classic. And because this trend covers a bit more real estate, you’ll be happy to know this multipurpose staple can be worn as outerwear as well.
Trend 3: Shell-Life
If you haven’t planned your summer holiday yet—btw, we have many suggestions—get warm-wardrobe ready with the new seashell trend. The amount of shells and fish motifs spotted at Oceanus and throughout the shows, confirmed one very exciting thing: mermaid summer is approaching.

Available in both the itty bitty bikini and glowing one-piece, the light-reflective metallic is here to take over all your beach vacations. Show off some personality during your favorite water sports activities or while lounging with friends.
