Padma Lakshmi’s New Spice Blend, A Revolutionary Luggage Product from July, and More

As the last quarter of the year descends, I’ve been looking for common threads to link the best brand and product launches of 2025. The words that come up over and over are “relief and repair.” The K18 Molecular Repair Mask dominated the haircare space, promising to repair hair “from even extreme damage.” In skincare, everything from the Augustinus Bader The Vitamin C Serum to the new Glowbar Simple Solution mist emphasized soothing ingredients like niacinamide and hypochlorous acid to relieve irritation and repair the skin barrier. Cozy clothes in soft, luxurious fabrics like SET Active’s Luxform line and Buck Mason’s Featherweight Silk Cashmere Blend feature sleek silhouettes without compromising on soothing comfort. And the continued success of reparative wellness products like the Create Wellness Creatine Gummies and the HigherDOSE Infrared Sauna Blanket speak to our current need to unwind and recover.

For my part, I embraced the “relief and repair” ethos this week by heading over to Spencer’s Spa for one of the best massages of my life. From the moment you step out of the elevator into the exceptionally well-decorated space, it feels like you’ve entered the Soho loft of your chicest, most effortlessly zen friend. If you live in LA or New York, I can’t recommend dropping by enough – or gifting a treatment to someone in your life in need of some R&R.

With such a chaotic year coming to a close, it’s no wonder that brands are promising products to help give us a little R&R. Looking ahead to 2026, will we be “repaired” enough to crave more active language in our branding? Or will we want to hit the snooze button for another year?

Apple and Android's encrypted networks ensure your data and location stay secure, anonymous, and private. Only you can see where your July case is (unless you share it with a friend).

Trending: Decadent Winter Exfoliants

Famed hairdresser David Mallett (whose beautiful WSA building salon I wrote about a few weeks ago) unveiled his latest creation this week: the Australian Salt Scrub, a unique scrub-shampoo designed to purify, detoxify, and revitalize hair from root to tip. The formula centers around a rare and precious ingredient: pink salt from Australia’s Murray River, carefully purified and blended with white clay. Together, they deliver a haircare experience that is both luxurious and deeply restorative.

HigherDOSE offered The Daily Dose Ritual Set, designed to transform your body care routine into a rejuvenating, exfoliating ritual. Start with the Copper Dry Brush to boost circulation, exfoliate, and energize your skin. Follow with Oxytocin Oil to deeply nourish, hydrate, and enhance your glow. This two-step ritual delivers radiant, youthful skin—every day. I recently started using this set and love the quality of their dry brush and the lightly scented oil – it’s going to the top of my list for body care gifts this winter.

Trending: Antimicrobials

Bearaby launched their Second Skin Sheets, the brand’s first-ever antimicrobial sheets! Made from breathable bamboo and infused with Bearaby’s proprietary botanical serum of peppermint, mint, and marine proteins, the sheets are proven to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria directly in the fibers — staying 99.7% effective even after 20 washes. I received a sample of the Second Skin Sheets and love how soft and smooth they are. A new favorite.

On the heels of Glowbar’s first product launch, Expert Cleanser, the brand is back with its second drop: Simple Solution — a hypochlorous acid spray developed by expert estheticians to deliver skin-calming results in one effective mist. One of 2025’s trendiest ingredients, hypochlorous acid helps remove acne-causing bacteria to stop pimples before they start.

Before You Go…

Photo Credit: Prabal Gurung x Zeelool, Diaspora Co.
  • Prabal Gurung and Zeelool launched their first official eyewear collab following their Met Gala styling partnership earlier this year. Inspired by timeless icons—Sophia Loren, Cher, Debbie Harry, Grace Kelly, and Norma Jean—the five-piece eyewear collection pays tribute to glamour, resilience, and individuality in true Prabal style.
  • Padma Lakshmi debuted a flavorful new collaboration with spice purveyors Diaspora Co: Padma Lakshmi’s Gunpowder Podi, a savory, nutty spice blend co-created with the iconic cookbook author and television host. Made with dry-roasted lentils, split chickpeas, and Diaspora’s signature single-origin spices, this blend shines when paired with fat — think swirled into ghee, olive oil, or melted butter. Use it to level up roasted veggies, add crunch to grain bowls, or give your grilled cheese a bold, nutty kick. Of course, it’s also perfect in its most traditional form: sprinkled over a crisp dosa. My winter cooking goal is to master making dosas at home, so I am very excited for this collab.
  • Korean skincare brand, Dr.Jart + is reimagining skincare gifting with a collection of limited-edition holiday sets inspired by the brand’s skin barrier expertise. Designed to target every complexion concern, each set combines powerful formulas with clinically proven performance, offering a thoughtful and practical gift for anyone on your list. I personally swear by their sheet masks, especially once my skin gets dry after holiday travel and dry winter air.
  • Hyperice launched the Normatec Elite Hips, the first-ever fully portable dynamic air compression device specifically engineered for the hips, IT bands, and lower back. This standalone device represents a new era of targeted recovery, eliminating the need for separate control units and delivering clinical-grade compression therapy with unprecedented portability and convenience.
  • Alert for beauty lovers: Credo’s annual Friends of Credo sale is here! The leading retailer in clean, sustainable beauty is hosting their annual 20% off sale beginning Monday, October 20th through Sunday, October 26th. Check out celebrity (and customer) loved brands like ILIA, Tower 28, RMS Beauty, ROZ, Necessaire, OSEA, Iris & Romeo, KOSAS, EXA Beauty, SOSHE, GenSee, and more.
