As someone who loves experimenting with different skincare products and formulas, I've consistently found that clinical-grade products, like those from ALASTIN Skincare, can transform your skin's overall look and feel, giving you a healthier and more radiant complexion.

Standing out as an award-winning brand that fuses skin science and physician insights, ALASTIN Skincare is not just another trendy brand but a collection of products with proprietary formulas that go beyond mere skincare. They protect, correct, and maintain healthy skin, offering a comprehensive solution from face cleansers to sunscreen and body treatments to post-procedure skincare.

ALASTIN Skincare offers a range of products perfect for creating a skincare routine with clinical-grade products or elevating your current routine. Here’s everything you need (and the order to use them for maximum benefit) to create a morning and evening skincare routine using ALASTIN’s products.

We like

  • Products felt amazing on the skin and absorbed nicely
  • Ingredients are scientifically-formulated
  • Customized regimen quiz on the website
  • Product subscriptions are convenient

We don't like

  • Some of the packaging was clunky and took up too much space
  • Limited options in terms of chemical exfoliants, toners, and masks

Healthy, Glow with ALASTIN Skincare

Cleanse

As someone with dry skin, I’m picky about cleansers. I need a product that can deeply cleanse my pores without stripping away moisture. ALASTIN’s Gentle Cleanser has been a game-changer for me. It removes buildup without leaving my skin dry or tight, making it a perfect second cleanser in my nighttime routine.

To break down makeup and sunscreen, I start with an oil cleanser—Tatcha Cleansing Oil—which I use daily. After cleansing, I use a pump of ALASTIN’s Gentle Cleanser ($52). The silky smooth texture and gentle foaming create a soothing experience, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or parched (always a plus!).

When I need to exfoliate, adding a small amount of ReSURFACE Skin Polish ($68) to the Gentle Cleanser gives me the softest skin.

Target

To protect skin against free radicals and environmental pollutants, it’s recommended to use antioxidants such as Vitamin C in the morning routine. ALASTIN’s C-Radical Defense Antioxidant Serum ($196)  contains Vitamin C and 14 essential antioxidants that protect against stressors like blue light and UV damage.

After applying Vitamin C, I add a dose of hydration with HA Immerse Serum ($118). The serum absorbs beautifully into the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines throughout the day.

Treat

Addressing areas of concern – sun damage, hyperpigmentation, or texture – is a part of any effective skincare routine.

Restorative Skin Complex ($230) helps regenerate collagen and elastin for a healthier complexion if you want to boost elasticity or balance skin tone.

Since I’m at that point where mistakes made in the sun long ago are starting to creep up, adding A-LUMINATE Brightening Serum ($178) has helped reduce the appearance of sun damage with consistent use.

Protect

Keeping skin hydrated and protected is one of the best things you can do to keep skin healthy! Choosing a moisturizer with sunscreen for daytime application is a good way to minimize steps in your morning routine. SilkSHIELD All Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 with TriHex Technology ($70)  is an award-winner, and for a good reason: it blends into the skin and protects against UVA/UVB and blue light rays.

Since most people spend the day in front of a device or computer, protecting against blue light is becoming more critical.

Body

Skincare doesn’t just mean face!

Exposing the rest of your body to environmental pollutants and UVA/UVB rays – not to mention dryness or other skin concerns – means you need to care for your body just as much as you do your neck and up.

Using the TriHex Technology used in various ALASTIN products, the TransFORM Body Treatment ($216) contains ingredients formulated to address hydration, firmness, and skin laxity.

ALASTIN Skincare has everything you need for healthy, glowing skin.

ALASTIN Skincare offers a collection of high-quality products that improve with consistent use. One aspect of the brand that stands out to me is that it’s a great price point for anyone looking to transition into professional skincare formulas.

One concern I often hear from those shopping for clinical-grade skincare is its cost. While I agree that professional-grade products are on the higher end of the scale than many trending skincare products, it’s important to consider technology and efficacy when paying for higher-quality skincare.

Active ingredients in clinical-grade skincare are usually more concentrated, meaning you get more mileage from your products because you don’t need to apply as much to the skin.  ALASTIN is a brand that hits that sweet spot between quality and price. If you’re looking to upgrade your skincare routine beyond formulas you find in retail stores, ALASTIN offers visible results.

Is it worth the splurge? Yes. While you might spend more on a serum (totally worth it), you’ll find that the other foundational products (cleanser and moisturizer, for example) are moderately priced and quickly go to work restoring the glow in your skin.

Here’s a tip: if you’re on a limited budget or unsure where to spend your money, I recommend always going for an active serum or treatment first because those ingredients are formulated to be the most potent and tend to make the most difference compared to a cleanser or moisturizer.
