Whether you’re shopping for yourself, a loved one on your Christmas list, or just want to get a headstart on 2024, uh, investments, we’ve rounded up the top picks from Nordstrom’s early Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

I wouldn’t call jeans a necessary evil, but buying them can be. Spending over $200 on any one clothing item always stings a bit, even if it’s something that gets almost daily use. That’s why there’s literally no better item to get on sale than expensive jeans. They’re the same pants you’ve been eyeing all year, just at a happily reduced rate. Again, girl math works well here—why not get two? We all know jeans last a couple years, so buying two pairs while they’re on sale now just means saving money for your future two-years-from-now self. That’s so sweet of you!
There’s a couple pairs of Joe’s Jeans that are almost half off in this bunch, but my money is on the AG Ex-Boyfriend Jeans ($164.50). Slouchy, just loose enough to be comfy, and lightly destroyed—a perfect fit. If you’re all in on the trouser trend, Frame’s Cropped Wide Leg Jeans ($175) are sleek enough for the office, with still plenty of room for comfort.

Shoes You Can Use
While some types of shoes should only be selected and purchased by the wearer, others will make perfect Christmas gifts. The nicer, the better. Shoes, in particular, are a place where Nordstrom’s selection shines. Boyfriends of the world please take note!
There’s a couple pairs of excellent heels in here that would be great for a night on the town. Imagine the upgrade of getting a new pair of shoes, then heading out together to a nice dinner? These Dolce Vita Paily Braided Sandals ($60) are ideal for flaunting ankle bracelets and the tan from your last vacation (or wearing on your next one), and Sam Edelman’s Kia Strappy Sandals ($50) spell out date night. More sensible picks might do as gifts for yourself, like a pair of chestnut-colored platform loafers ($90) that slots neatly into Gen Z-approved fashion.

Bag The Bag
Bags are a perfect Black Friday sale item, because they make great gifts for others… and for yourself. Bags are another category where Nordstrom’s internal selection has always seemed to shine—plenty of shoppers I know prefer to get their high-end totes and clutches from Nordies instead of at the boutiques themselves. If you’re looking to nab yourself a Rebecca Minkoff, this gorgeous Edie Crossbody Bag ($120) is over $100 off. This bag is great on its own, but also because it’s basically a dupe for the ultra-coveted quilted YSL bags, but those run in the thousands, not hundreds.
Other standouts: A super adorable and bright Kate Spade Seaside Sequin Tote ($119) that’s 60% off, as high as this sale will go. A great gift for a mom, sister or friend. If you’re a frequent traveler, the Longchamp Le Pliage Travel Bag ($175) is a wardrobe staple. As in, when Taylor Swift sang “we never go out of style,” she was likely picking up her clothes off Harry’s floor and packing them into one of these.
